Description

This telescopic ladder conforms to the EN 131 regulation (suitable for light industrial use and trade) which is fantastic considering how cheap it is. The size can be adjusted in 1ft increments which is ideal for any tight jobs that require a specific height setting. You can work at smaller heights of 33 inches all the way up to 12.5ft for higher up jobs. It’s easy to carry as well: the heavy-duty strap allows you to secure the ladder shut, and it can then be carried with one hand. It weighs 13.3 kg so is reasonably lightweight, though some people may find it heavy to carry for extended periods.

Easy to install with no cutting required, the Homebase Loft Ladder is adjustable to three lengths and telescopes down to a decidedly compact form, making it ideal for tight spaces. This ladder can be adjusted in 1 ft (30 cm) increments. Therefore, whether you’re painting your upstairs windows or need a simple loft ladder, it can easily be adjusted to suit the space. Staff do not need to be retrained on the new standard, it is however reccomended that they are made familiar with the changes and swap to the new standard once older equipment starts to fail inspections. Training is not a legal requirement, but again it is best practice of a responsible employer. By getting one of these ladders to use in the home, you know you are investing in something that is high quality as it can be used in a trade environment. If you want maximum versatility from your ladder, the WolfWise 4.7M Telescoping Ladder is an excellent option to consider. It has a maximum height of 4.7 m. Sadly, WolfWise does not specify an EN 131 certification, but with so many safety features in place, owners should still be confident of usage. On windy days. At less than half the weight of a regular ladder, it’s far more likely to blow over in the wind. An extremely popular option, the WolfWise has been designed with safety at the fore, with non-slip end caps to keep it firmly in place when in use and a design that prevents trapped fingers.

In 2017, Derbyshire Council’s Trading Standards team tested 13 telescopic ladders, and all failed to meet the current standards, with one ladder snapping in half under the test load. The majority of telescopic ladders are made from aluminium . This is both lightweight and sturdy. In my opinion, the best telescopic ladders weigh under 13 kg . These are easily transported outside or upstairs, adding to the practical nature of having a collapsible ladder. This telescopic ladder features anti-pinch finger protection (many ladders will pinch fingers when they are closed up). The main noticeable difference when it comes to EN131 Professional and Non-Professional is unfortunately not a favourable choice for many consumers, but it's been done to keep you safe. Ladders over 3m now require a stabiliser bar at the bottom of the ladder, making the equipment wider and improvingstability. The other changes to the standard are that both ladders are certified to a maxmimum load of 150kg. Worhan is a popular German manufacturer of ladders and produces high quality products. This ladder is no exception and is great considering the price. It is suitable for both professional and domestic use making it one of the most robust telescopic ladders available.
