Another thing you will love is how easy it is to remove the air filter. You can easily remove and clean the air filter to improve the performance of the petrol chainsaw.

You should never attempt to use a chainsaw while balanced up a tree, or even if you are stretching from a ladder. You should be fully balanced at all times, with space around you for the wood to fall. Loosen the two nuts on the side cover, tighten chain tension adjuster screw, the chain should have 5mm of play in the middle of the bar, re-tighten securing nuts. (See image).

More about this manual

This chainsaw weight is a paltry 6.7kgs which makes its weight to power ratio lower. That means you can work for more extended work sessions without worrying about hand fatigue common with other heavier chainsaws. In addition to the anti-vibration system, it also has an ergonomic design that aims to make you as comfortable as possible while using it. You thus won’t have to worry too much about discomfort when working. In terms of performance, this Einhell chainsaw shines. It starts easily and was able to slice through everything that I asked it to. Due to the length of the bar, the maximum trunk diameter that I used this chainsaw on was around 80 cm (32”), and it cut through those without any problems. If you have larger trees that need to be cut, then you’ll need a larger chainsaw, but, for the average home user, this one should be able to handle everything that you need it to. Excellent quality product supplied with two saw chains, easy to assemble started after three attempts I found this chainsaw to be comfortable and easy to use. At 7kg, it is noticeably heavier than some of the others that I reviewed, but this is down to its large engine and long bar. If you’d prefer something lighter and easier on the arms, you’d need to sacrifice one of these.

Since this chainsaw comes with all of the necessary tools for assembly, along with a gripper bar that has already been fitted, assembling the machine only took about 10 minutes. All you need to do is remove the side panel so that you can attach the bar and chain. Then, tighten the chain before replacing the panel. The screws that are used for tightening the chain are normally at the side of the unit. However, in this case, they’ve been placed at the front. Personally, I prefer this as it makes the tightening task much less fiddly. By way of conclusion I would say this: if you’re looking for a lightweight, easy-to-use chainsaw but are on a tight budget, there are other options out there that would suit you better (such as the Einhell, which is only slightly larger and heavier). However, if you don’t mind spending a little more on a quality chainsaw that’s extremely well designed and made, then this Husqvarna won’t let you down. It’s the best petrol chainsaw if you need something with a slightly smaller bar and it’s perfect for light DIY work around the home and garden. If you want to comfortably move with your chainsaw up and down ladders, choose a weight closer to 5 kg . Most of the chainsaws that I tested took about ten minutes to assemble, and this one was no exception. You do waste a bit of time unravelling the chain, but, when it comes to removing and replacing the side panel (so that you can fit the bar and chain), Husqvarna made things more convenient by positioning the screw for this at the front, rather than the side, of the unit. Weighing just 6.8kg including bar & chain makes the P6220C easy to transport and handle providing a comfortable user experience during extensive use. When not in use the P6220C can be stored safely with the included carry bag and bar cover that protects the all-important cutting links on the chain from getting damaged and keep the bar in pristine condition.

However, petrol powered chainsaws are extremely powerful machines, and those with little experience may find a chainsaw with a long bar harder to control. Petrol bars do tend to have longer bars than corded or cordless types, with the length up to 40cm. Chain Speed

When not in use the P6220C can be stored safely with the included carry bag and bar cover that protects the all-important cutting links on the chain from getting damaged and keep the bar in pristine condition. Easy to use. Once you’ve mastered starting your chainsaw, you should find it relatively easy to use Furthermore, to enhance your grip of the chainsaw as you use it, it has a handguard as well as an anti-vibration system. You can thus comfortably use it to cut without the fear of hand fatigue afterwards. Fortunately I stumbled across this online on sale. Thought I'd take a punt and was not dissapointed. Not familiar with the P1PE brand? Neither was I, until I tried their impressive 62cc Petrol Chainsaw. Turns out, P1PE, which is short for Position One Power Equipment, is well-acquainted with producing power tools and garden machinery, with all of them being powered by Hyundai engines. So, having recently tested out Hyundai’s 62cc petrol chainsaw, I was curious to see how this lower-priced alternative would compare. It’s aimed at people who need to carry out both small clearance jobs as well as heavy-duty tree felling, making it seem like the ideal machine to help me tidy up all of the damage that Storm Arwen had caused around my farm.

Prompt delivery, easy to assemble, started on 3rd pull, didn't loose power when cutting large logs, excellent buy.Generally speaking, a petrol chainsaw is a very useful tool but it is also one of the more demanding tools. An average chainsaw like that requires a lot of attention in terms of maintenance. Fortunately, that isn't necessarily the case with McCulloch CS 42S. Though the model has quite a lot to offer in other departments, we would first like to focus on the question of maintenance. In addition to the negligible weight to power ratio, it also features an anti-vibrating system. Often vibrations make using a chainsaw for long quite challenging. With this chainsaw, however, you can work for hours without any such problems. Assembling this chainsaw was very simple. Einhell provides all of the tools that you’ll need for assembly, meaning that the process only took about ten minutes, plus an extra few minutes to fill the machine with oil and petrol. The weight of the chainsaw will dictate the power to weight ratio of the chainsaw. A higher ratio will mean the weight doesn’t get in the way of the chainsaw’s power and that it can handle medium to heavy-duty cutting jobs. Best ever chainsaw I’ve used. I have two others and had constant trouble with, this one’s amazing. Does the job perfectly
