The ergonomics also enhance the tilting degree of the DCS570, up to 57 degrees. Combined with a smaller form factor (11” x 8” x 10” vs 13” x 17.6” x 9.31” of the DCS391), you can operate the Dewalt DCS570 with no sweat at all. Kenny’s life around power tools started early. His grandfather was an airplane mechanic in WW2 and took up woodworking as a hobby after retiring from the power industry. Building everything from bookshelves to lazy Susans, he became extremely accomplished while his young grandson observed, fascinated at the way raw wood could turn into something both beautiful and functional. In fact, Kenny still uses several pieces that his grandfather made more than 30 years ago.

DeWalt DCS570N 18v XR 184mm Brushless Circular Saw Body Only

I've got the same circular saw, and I'm not aware of fixings for guide rails. One of the important features of guide rails is the "splinter guard", this is where the rail sits flush with the saw blade, and prevents the "keep" side of the wood from splintering. The DIY guide rail I've discussed should emulate this. The latest generation* (*release summer 2017) Brushless Circular Saw from DeWalt. Capable of a massive 64mm depth of cut and approximately 100x cuts in 200mm x 50mm soft wood when used with a XR 5.0Ah battery (sold separately). Manufactured and tested to the highest standards to ensure long life and durability, TSTAK keeps everything you need for the job organised exactly how you want them.

Cutaway guard lifts when in use for increased visibility. When not in use it covers the blade for safer storage I've seen similar DIY guide rails made to what you suggest, where you have a piece of plywood/mdf, with another straight piece of wood secured to it, and the guide rail is made by holding the saw against the secured piece of wood, and cutting the "parent" piece of wood. I'm sceptical about how these work long term, but it should be better than nothing. The DeWalt DCS570 has the power to be a replacement for your corded sidewinder model. A worm drive will still have more torque and both the DeWalt FlexVolt Circular Saw and Makita 18V X2 LXT Rear Handle Saw will give you a power boost. However, it gives DeWalt 20V Max users a good reason not to jump ship on DeWalt’s deep flagship cordless line. Supplied body only in a TOUGHSYSTEM DS300 deep carry case. The Dewalt DCS570 unit has awesome maneuverability. The handle contours your hand and provides a comfortable, firm grip. The pommel – or you can call it the support handle, is offset a few degrees to relieve your wrist strain during the work. Make fastening tasks a breeze with Dewalt nail guns. These tools provide speed and accuracy for all your nailing needs. The Dewalt DCS570 comes with a powerful brushless motor that can generate 5200 RPM speed and maintain it under load. The Dewalt DCS391 is in a A circular saw with a beveling capacity of 50 degrees like Dewalt DCS565, on the other hand, may be more limited in the types of angled cuts it can make, but it can be more precise and accurate when making those cuts. This can be suitable for finer work such as trimming or making cuts for joinery. The major features are all present with the XR brushless motor and a blade brake highlighting things along with bevel detents. I’m a little disappointed that there’s no rafter hook, but the performance and ergonomics are enough to overcome that minor complaint.Saw Blade: The Dewalt DCS570 is a 7-1/4 in. circular saw while the DCS565 is a 6-1/2 in. circular saw.
