Come on boys, why couldn’t you restrain yourself and think with your under your bellies as soon as you saw fresh meat recently moved to the next door or hangs out at your work place to use your elevator for the most inappropriate ways! I don't feel like I have a lot to say about this one, other than I really enjoyed it, and I think fans of thrillers that feature in depth character study and traditional, reliable mysteries will too. We get to know a lot about each of the neighbors in this tight-knit community, and each person is very different from the other. Someone We Know is a new domestic suspense thriller from New York Times bestselling author Shari Lapena, where a murder shakes a quiet NY community that might have some dark secrets among neighbors. As our story opens with her brutal murder with a hammer, and her husband Robert's general relief as he files a missing persons report a couple of days later, this seems to be an open and shut case and just another instance of "it's always the husband.

Unfortunately, in this tight-knit community, Olivia confides in her friend Glenda that Raleigh has been up to no good, and later comes to the realization that one of Raleigh's targets was the Pierce home itself. a gruesome murder, very entertaining it had me flipping the pages of my kindle so fast til the very last page. view spoiler) [I found the end very frustrating- it was a page turning domestic thriller for the most part, but re the ending: It's one thing to leave a cliffhanger/ unanswered question, but this felt like either there's going to be a sequel or the author painted herself into a corner writing one character as a cold hearted psychopath and then didn't know what to do with him since he wasn't the killer. In a quiet, leafy suburb in upstate New York, a teenager has been sneaking into houses--and into the owners' computers as well--learning their secrets, and maybe sharing some of them, too.

A week after the night she chases but fails to catch a mysterious trespasser outside her town house, some unknown party texts Tempe four images of a corpse that looks as if it’s been chewed by wild hogs, because it has been. Pros: very straightforward writing – absolutely no bells, no whistles, this is prose in its most simplistic form. Olivia brushes this moment as a thing of the past, that is until one of her son's victims turns up dead. Seriously what an entertaining whodunit book, till the last moment you don’t know who is guilty, questions flying, revelations confuses you more.No-one does suburban paranoia like Shari Lapena —this slowly unfurling nightmare will have you biting your nails until the end. There is so much going on all the time and getting to the end of each chapter you just want to keep going. It was inspired by something I saw on the internet about a kid breaking into someone’s house in the middle of the night to use their wi-fi. Olivia Sharpe's teenage son, Raleigh is breaking into the neighbor's houses at night and hacking into their computers.
