While I in no way thought the new foundation would takeover my love for the original, its promise of a radiant finish and extra hydration boosting properties were music to my ears during these drab winter months.

The strong point of collagen is being a large molecule with tremendous water binding capacity, i.e. an amazing humectant and moisturizer. It produces a water-rich film on the skin giving the stratum corneum (the uppermost layer of the skin) great hydration, making it nice and smooth and reducing trans-epidermal-water loss (the process of water evaporating out of your skin). The Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid foundation is a good staple to have in a makeup collection. It is not the most amazing foundation I have ever tried, but it definitely is a good foundation that just does what a foundation needs to do. This doesn’t look dry and cakey and it doesn’t emphasize dry patches, which is always a win-win situation. This lasts well: I have been wearing this through workdays for the past 6 weeks and my makeup still looks great at the end of the day. I do find that the powder I pair this with really influences the look of the foundation. So if you do have very dry skin I would recommend making sure you go light on the powder as the wrong powder or too much powder can have an averse effect. It’s so moisturizing, in fact, that I’m a little bit wary that this will be a nice foundation come summer time with high temps and high humidity. In Europe it is marketed as the replacement of the older Dream Satin foundation. I used that before and really, genuinely enjoyed it, but the shade range was a bit shoddy and the lightest shade in the line was too dark for me which is why I never ended up wearing it an ultimately decluttered. With the relaunch, they also extended the shade range so that is a lovely fact. This retails for €15.99 and I got it on sale as I usually do with my Maybelline products. It is available in 15 shades (there seem to be 20, but I can only find 15 shades in my local drugstore). The shades mainly seem to be more on the fair side and there are different undertones. What does the Dream Radiant foundation have to offer? While the Maybelline Dream Radiant liquid foundation does come in 20 shades – I had trouble finding a proper match. While the shade names are the same between Mayelline’s foundations, the colors are quite different.

I highly highly recommend visiting a store to see the foundation in person when deciding on your color. Very Hydrating I’m not head over heals in love with the foundation like I am last year’s Dream Urban Cover foundation, but if you are on the hunt for a light-to-medium coverage foundation that’s affordable and has a natural appearance — this one could be perfect for you!While some foundations wear nicely both with/without a primer, that’s definitely not the case here. When worn with a primer the foundation has a long wear time and is moderately lightweight on the skin. Without a primer, the foundation gets quite greasy throughout the day and feels heavy on the skin once you cross over the five-hour mark. Apply this liquid foundation to the skin and blend with fingertips, a beauty sponge, or makeup brush. If you’re looking for a good drugstore primer, I like the pore putty and mineral infusedprimers from ELF. The most exciting foundation launch of the year? The Maybelline Dream Radiant Liquid hydrating foundation! When I found out that Maybelline was releasing a new foundation and one that was marketed as being hydrating, I knew I wanted to try it. The new Maybelline Dream Radiant liquid foundation promises all-day hydration with a beautiful glowy finish. Does it perform as well as I hoped? of women agree that skin feels more hydrated when wearing this foundation. Overall, the foundation is nice. I think you’ll definitely like it if you have dryer skin because of how hydrating it is and I think you’ll be mighty pleased with the price! The coverage does lean on the light side, so definitely be aware that you’ll need to build it up or follow-up with a heavier concealer if you’re really looking to cover something up on your complexion.
