Dia and Finn - Dia is Vee’s best friend and Finn is Xav’s. These two really gave me soap opera vibes. I hope the author does a story for them because I don’t fully have a resolution to their story. I thought Dia was a little all over the place. She stood up for Vee, but her life was a constant party and Finn’s D. Finn was P whipped. Like I said, soap opera vibes. It always felt like Vee does what Dia wants to do and that always partying. If you two don't get your shit together ASAP, all the wooden spoons in my Portuguese grandmother's arsenal are going to find your ass cheeks with laser precision. for starters, when i read dear love, i hate you, i immediately fell in love with that book along with dia & finn. so when i heard they were getting a book: i of course like a sane person would, freaked out because of how much i loved them in the first book.Honestly, I have no idea where to start writing this review because a hundred thoughts and emotions that this book gave me are flying through my head. I would have given this bitch less stars but that wasn't an option. I would rather eat the script of all of three of The Kissing Booth films as my last meal then read this shit again.

The note aspect of this story really pulled me in. Aveena and Xavier connecting or reconnecting through anonymous notes truly added a level of intimacy to their relationship. Their guards were down and they shared their deepest secrets with each other. When the inevitable happens, and they found out who the other one is, it only heightens their relationship. Eliah truly has an original writing style and her sense of writing an interesting plot filled with a lot of drama, but also funny and steamy moments is incredible. I don't know why I haven’t discovered Eliah Greenwood before now, but I’m here for this kind of story telling! A super compelling and interesting story hook, flawed and complicated characters, heartbreak and angst, so much first love over the top drama and high school hijinks, and a deeply rich and captivating chemistry made this such an addictive read. I read this in one sitting- I could not put it down. I am so in love with these characters, and I’m desperate for more from this world. when finn finally gets his head out of his ass, i was the happiest girl on the planet. the way he calls her baby has me giggling and blushing 😭 they’re so cute. Xavier is a male character who is initially a typical arrogant athlete only interested in the fame that accompanies him throughout high school.So... I didn't hate the book, but it was exhausting. The plot sounded interesting enough, secret and anonymous post it notes in a book, wallflower falling in love with the basketball high school star.. I mean, the first half of this book was phenomenal, for real. But the author made it too long. I'm barley scratching the surface with this review, but I implore you all to take a chance on this book! This was my first time reading this author, and I am just SO obsessed with her words! I NEED to know what happens to all the other couples -- seriously all of these characters will totally consume you!!
