Both Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf never existed in real life until " Dora Saves the Three Little Pigs". As shown in the list above, Spanish is the second language taught in the original English language version of the show (also broadcast for Malay speakers), in the Irish, Serbian, and the trilingual Turkish versions, but for other versions of the show, the language being taught is English.

Map's segment is preceded by Boots saying they don't know how to get to the destination, followed by Dora responding, "Who do we ask for help when we don't know which way to go?" The original series and the spin-off Dora and Friends also featured CGI elements, but they were normally combined with the regular 2D animation of both shows. While the blue frog has remained (this time with more saturated colors), the group now features a marmoset and armadillo, replacing the grasshopper and snail respectively.

Before the adventure, Dora asks Map, a sentient map who acts as hers and Boots' guide for each adventure. This transitions into a sketch where Map shows the places to go, usually three total (four in double-length episodes), with the last place as the destination.
