Description

Measured in an unobstructed outdoor environment free of interference. The above data shows the farthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights under each standard. During your flight, please pay attention to RTH reminders in the DJI Fly app. This is compared to the single Tele Camera on the Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine which offers these specs: 162mm telephoto lens, aperture of f/4.4, up to 28x hybrid zoom, 12MP stills, and 4K/50fps video. The Mavic 3 Pro and Mavic 3 Pro Cine have three cameras: That Hasselblad sensor, as well as Dual Tele Cameras.

Measured in a controlled test environment. Specific test conditions are as follows: hovering in a windless environment at sea level, with APAS off, AirSense off, camera parameters set to 1080p/24fps, video mode off, and from 100% battery level until 0%. Results may vary depending on the environment, actual use, and firmware version. To further aid agricultural applications, the Mavic 3M features a sunlight sensor for more consistent data; is compatible with an RTK Module (comes with the aircraft) to enable highly-accurate mapping without ground control points; performs Smart Terrain Follow to maintain an even altitude as you fly a survey mission across varying terrain; and can conduct automatic field scouting. The Mavic 3's Standard version and Fly More Combo cost almost 40% more than their Mavic 2 Pro equivalents did at launch, which suggests the Mavic 3 is more of a professional drone than a consumer model. The DJI Air 2S replaces the Mavic 2 Pro at the top of the consumer line with a 1-inch sensor, while the Mavic 3 features a Four Thirds sensor in the main camera. Design and controller Combine this with the drone's Tele camera which helps it achieve 56x hybrid zoom, and you have an aircraft which is a powerful, lightweight and portable tool for law enforcement, looking for missing people or spotting abnormalities/defects during inspections. Medium Interference (suburban landscape, open line of sight, some competing signals): Approx. 3-9 km

The Mavic 3 Series have a maximum flight time of 46 minutes and a wealth of advanced flight safety features, such as omnidirectional object sensing, Advanced Return To Home and APAS 5.0. The December firmware update came with improvements to obstacle avoidance, but when tested in the same highly complex environment as our original test the drone performed the same way. When flying within a tight avenue of trees, the Mavic 3 flew erratically and may have crashed into tree branches if it wasn’t stopped. Still, this was an incredibly tough test and when APAS was turned off, the drone was able to fly much more smoothly, albeit with a much greater risk of crashing. With the impressive onboard technology, it would be great to see further improvements to obstacle avoidance in future firmware updates. Outside the cover, the drone looks much more like the Air 2S; the legs are thinner and the vision sensors placed diagonally on the corners rather than glaring forward like those on the Mavic 2. The top and rear side vents offer a slightly aggressive posture though the spindly legs offset that. It goes without question that safety is very important when flying a drone. Especially for the less experienced pilots having built-in features that will assist in collisions is a good thing. The Mavic 3 has five sensors that help the pilot avoid hitting trees and other obstacles in its path. Imaging Above Everything – With a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad Camera, the sensor provides a 12.8-stop dynamic range that retains more details in highlights and shadows, upgrading your work to a professional level..Min focal length : 12While the Cine model offers ProRes HQ and more internal storage, I’m not sure it’s worth the extra cost for many users. I haven’t shot the Cine version, so it’s hard to have a solid opinion if the ProRes HQ is far superior to the H.265 option of the Mavic 3. If you are a professional, then I can totally understand getting the version with the most features. The drones are furnished with a suite of safety sensors, and an auxiliary bottom light, while the removable battery is located at the rear of the aircraft. Flight Performance - Battery Life, Transmission, Safety Features, Smart Shooting Modes The main difference between the Standard and Cine versions of the Mavic 3 is that the Standard version provides 8GB of internal storage, while the Cine features an impressive 1TB SSD with support for Apple ProRes 422 HQ video recording. Features and flight Measured in an outdoor, open environment, without interference, and with FCC compliance. The above data shows the farthest communication range for one-way, non-return flights. Pay attention to RTH reminders in the DJI Fly app during your flight.

I found flying the Mavic 3 to be very easy. With the new features like Spotlight and Master Shots, you don’t have to worry about keeping the subject framed correctly, just how you want to fly around it. For inexperienced pilots such as myself, I appreciate the simplicity, and the results look professional. When explore mode is activated on the Mavic 3, the camera automatically switches between the Hasselblad and the Tele camera when zoom reaches 7x. The hybrid zoom appears to compare the main Hasselblad camera to the max zoom Tele camera, for a total of 28x zoom. Photos on these cameras come in at 20MP for the Hasselblad and 12MP for the Tele camera, more than enough resolution for most users. Omnidirectional binocular vision system, supplemented with an infrared sensor at the bottom of the aircraft The gimbal is controllable in the pan (left and right) and tilt (up and down) directions from -5° to 5° for the pan and -90° to 35° for the tilt. However, the Mavic 3 can move the 3-axis gimbal much further automatically to keep a steady shot. Able to pan from -27° to 27°, tilt from -135° to 100°, and roll from -45° to 45° all at a maximum speed of 100°/s. These numbers mean the gimbal can do its job in wind speeds of up to 12 m/s or 43.2 km/h. Obstacle Avoidance and Flight Speeds: Mavic 3 Enterprise built for precision surveying and inspection, including optimised mapping camera with short shooting interval, large pixel size, and mechanical shutter; compatibility with RTK module for TimeSync and GCP-free surveying; and route planning; In contrast, the original Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine have two cameras - the Hasselblad camera, as well as one Tele Camera. The Mavic 3 Classic only has the Hasselblad sensor (which has a 3x zoom). The flight distance is different from the video transmission distance. The data was tested in a controlled environment, under the following specific test conditions: flying at a constant speed of 50.4 kph in a windless environment at sea level, with APAS off, AirSense off, camera parameters set to 1080p/24fps, video mode off, and from 100% battery level until 0%. Results may vary depending on the environment, actual use, and firmware version. Imaging Above Everything – With a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad Camera, the sensor provides a 12.8-stop dynamic range that retains more details in highlights and shadows, upgrading your work to a professional level..Max Flight Distance : 30 km, Max Service Ceiling Above Sea Level : 6000 m. Operating Temperature : -10° to 40° C (14° to 104° F). However, an important note is that Apple ProRes is supported across all three cameras on the Mavic 3 Pro Cine, whereas these codecs can only be used on content captured with the Hasselblad camera on the Mavic 3 Cine, and not the Tele camera.

The M3T can be used with DJI FlightHub 2. Especially suited to public safety and search and rescue teams, this all-in-one cloud-based software is a vital tool for enhanced situational awareness and real-time team collaboration. For amateur pilots and videographers, the Mavic 3 is likely a lot more drone than you’ll need. The Mavic 3 looked ideal for those who already use a drone for work; with the Cine edition posed to be a step between the older Inspire line and the regular Mavic 3.The Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine also have a 1/2-inch CMOS 12MP Tele camera, capable of achieving 28x hybrid zoom. The Mavic 3 Classic does not feature the Tele camera, and has 3x digital zoom via its single Hasselblad sensor. We tested the Mavic 3 Fly More combo, which is the most practical version of the Mavic 3 to acquire unless you’re on a filmmaking budget and need the ProRes. It includes the standard Mavic and a good selection of accessories. There’s a lot to discuss but we think we know where you’ll want to start.
