Can my resolve be as strong as Lina’s thighs were and Nash’s resistance to pushing all the way in (😉) during that fight in Chapter 36?🙏🏻 This eleven-year-old was acting like a seventeen-year-old which I understand to a certain point since she kinda raised herself and was on her own, BUT the way she talked is what annoyed me the most. Kids can be more mature, but it should still show that they are a child through their speech mannerisms. less FTB 😑, especially when it’s the first time they do things 😐. Don’t be closing the door on me 😑

I’m so excited to see that we are getting a Lucian and Sloane book next! I’ve been hoping we would get their story and enemies to lovers is my jam. It comes out later this year so no long wait! Yay! Also, I got to meet Lucy Score at my local book store (Joseph Beth-Cincinnati) which was amazing so here’s a fun picture :) Lucian Rollins is on a mission to erase the stain his father left behind on their family name, starting with building an invulnerable empire. But not everything is completely impervious to outside forces, least of all Lucian when faced with a sassy small-town librarian.

So when I finished this, I really tried to think about why none of her books have been "perfect" yet all (except for one) have been "very good." All Lina has to do is breathe near Nash and little Nash is ready 💁🏻‍♀️ this book is an abomination and deserves to be burned, so embarrassed i wasted my time reading this Memphis Ward will do whatever it takes to keep her newborn baby safe. Even if that means moving thousands of miles to a small town in the middle of nowhere Montana and working as a housekeeper at The Eloise Inn, and living in a small apartment above a garage. At least there’s one silver lining: The hot, tattooed landlord and owner of said inn. Sustained by Emma Chase You make me feel things. And after going long enough without feeling anything, feeling something--even if its anger or adrenaline--is better than the nothing." Nash says this, but it honestly could apply to both Nash and Lina.

Knox Morgan our “hero” was anything but in my opinion. While I love an alpha and a growly grump with a squishy marshmallow center, I felt Knox was a condescending, self-righteous, steamrolling jerk.

Just like the above sentence from this book, this isn't what readers like me too wanted. This was a strange book where the characters behaved in bizarre ways. The main characters, Naomi and Knox, are both above 35 years. Yet, they are acting like irritating kindergarten kids who are obsessed with actions similar to Disney characters in some parts of the book and like toxic, emotionally manipulating, and stalking characters in the other parts. Naomi and Knox have an interesting meet cute. When Naomi rolls into town with daisies in her hair she doesn’t expect the welcome she gets. See, her twin sister who is basically a menace to the town, asks for her help. When Naomi shows, she is, of course, mistaken for the twin. That lasts for a bit but ultimately she carves her own place out in town, along with her niece who she’s taking care of. the side characters. Um. Yes please ❤️. Not only do we see Naomi and Knox, but we see other characters as well (like Sloane and Lucian). Waylay and Waylon were adorable, as well as Lina’s parentsLucy Score never does me wrong! A beautiful and emotional small-town romance that everyone should read. He was Jekyll and Hyde, gaslighting and mistreating her over and over and yet she still fell in love. Then breaks her heart and leaves...just like he said he would, and has the nerve to sulk! Out of concern Nash asked his brother as to why he broke things off, and Knox replied with, “Problem...with you helping yourself to my leftovers? Nah. Better she didn’t go to waste.” Maybe he’s here to have sex with you. Like some kind of dark sexy fairy granting dirty wishes,” I teased. I noticed Knox didn’t bother greeting Lucian when he joined him.
