I can honestly say I truly loved some of the different types of poetry by this author, and in particular the ones in this book. Poet, Donna Ashworth, states that she hopes that this book will remind people that they are not alone and that there is joy in life despite the challenging times. As I have said before when I have reviewed these types of books, I wouldn't say I am a great lover of poetry, in fact I am much nearer the opposite side of the scale. It is soothing, human and compassionate, and yet somehow aids that progression through the darker days of grief. You cannot be everyone's cup of tea, but you can be someone's first sip of a cold drink on a sunny day.That the quickest path to lifting our spirits is to look out for others and lighten someone else's burdens.

This book brought me immense comfort, highly recommend for anyone dealing with grief and does not know how to navigate through it. Short funeral verse written by Joyce Grenfell with a message about finding ways to cope with grief carry on after losing a loved one. Many thanks to Netgalley, Bonnier UK Audio, and the author, for the ALC of this book in exchange for an honest review. Very thoughtful, thought provoking, some wistful, other straight to the point and more plain speaking I think theres something for everyone in this book. A friend recommended this book to me and it is one that will stay on my bookshelf to be picked up time and time again.It’s become quite apparent to me that poetry is the love of my life and helps me to constantly process myself and the world around me. I’m a big believer in singing loudly in the car whenever possibleand I love pulling alongside a fellow diva doing the same.
