To tell the difference hold the binoculars into the light and look at the exit pupil. If it’s a BaK4 glass you can see a beautiful round exit pupil, it is a BK7 prism angular shadowing appear. Looking past the dubious claims in online write-ups of these binoculars, as a pair of kids binoculars, or a handy portable pair of compact binoculars for adults, they will likely do what you want them to, for the price.

Nevertheless, I think that you really can’t expect much for so little money, the thing isn’t even waterproof, and that is something you would want. For just a few dollars more you could get better instruments from well-known manufacturers. Don’t fall for all the buzzwords like high power and night vision, touting the product. 8x to 10x magnification is enough for a 25 mm objective. On a general note Lens coatings also play a role since they optimize the binoculars’ ability to gather light and prevent glares. Fully multi-coated lenses are preferable for birding because they have multiple anti-reflection coating layers on all air-to-glass surfaces, giving you the best possible views of your favorite tiny creatures. In the close range, I was able to bring it into focus at objects that are about 12 feet away, after seemingly endless turning of the focus wheel. Collimation The repeatedly advertised low light or night vision is not really to be taken seriously. These compact binoculars are unsuitable and not usable for low light conditions, simply because of their small collecting lense and also small exit pupil. When the eyecups are folded in (about 3mm from the lens to the eyecup edge) my eyes are too close and I have shadows on the side field of view, when the eyecups are unfolded, the field of view is fully there. If you plan on heavy binocular use and want peace of mind from a Limited Lifetime Warranty, we recommend purchasing from a big brand like Celestron or Nikon. The specs and claims from Occer don't quite match up and we would only know the real durability of this pair after a few months of constant use. There are several factors that determine how far a pair of binoculars can see. With the right binoculars, you can see celestial objects hundreds of thousands of miles away, and you can also see animals a few miles away. A pair of 12×25 binoculars falls in the class of compact binoculars, because the objective lens is less than 30mm (25mm). Factors such as atmospheric conditions, the weather, and brightness will affect how far you can see with the 12×25 binoculars. The Magnification

A 25mm lens is quite small, but sufficient for daytime observation when there is enough light. Less so when the light is rather weak when it is cloudy or you are out in the shady forest. After all, in a 12 x 25 instrument, the exit pupil is also quite small with just over 2 mm, not very suitable for twilight or at night with only little residual light. The so-often advertised “night vision” does not exist with such compact glasses. Field of view refers to width at a distance. For example, if you are pointing the binoculars at something 1000 yards away, you can see an image through them that is 90 feet wide, but anything wider than that you wouldn’t be able to see. Higher magnification means a smaller field of view. At 12x magnification, the field of view narrows significantly, making it difficult to locate small and mobile objects when you are scanning from hundreds of kilometers. The eyepiece design plays a role in determining the field of view as well. The Diameter of the Field of Objective LensIn terms of quality and performance, these optics are quite average. They provide bright and clear images with minimal color distortions, especially when there is good lighting. Thanks to the easy-to-use and strategically placed focus wheel, obtaining a laser-sharp focus is also easy. While these optics work well enough during the day, they are not very useful as night-time optics (you’ll want to look into night vision goggles if you want something with built-in infrared illuminator). Nonetheless, color distortions are hardly noticeable during the daytime.

The foldable eyecups of these binoculars make them suitable for most users, including eyeglass wearers and kids. Moreover, they are made of soft rubber, ensuring you a comfortable glassing experience for prolonged hours. You can easily adjust the eyecups according to your pupil distance, but for some users, these optics’ interpupillary distance (IPD) is not wide enough. But they all have one thing in common, they bring products on the market that are really unbeatable cheap, and often there are even tons of accessories included. Now let’s see if that’s any good. Mksutary 12×25 Poro Prism BinocularsThe lenses are fully multi-coated. This reduces the reflection and ensures brighter images. Anti-reflective lens coatings are essential, otherwise, modern binoculars with their many lenses would lose too much light so that everything would look quite dark through it. These optics are suitable for observing objects at mid-range and long distances. Particularly, they are a decent choice for birding and a bit of stargazing. They may not be as powerful as high-end models, but they provide a far better viewing experience than the naked eye. Birding binoculars are common. They usually fall in the mid- and full-size categories. Particularly, 8×32 and 8×42 models are popular choices among avid birdwatchers. 8x is preferable to 10x and 12x because it has a broader field of view, which makes it easy to spot birds from a distance. However, that doesn’t mean that 10x and 12x optics are not at all excellent choices for birding.
