Some of these characters are truly unlikeable but it doesn't make them any less enjoyable to read about. If you’re looking for a good YA contemporary that focuses on female friendships and realistic struggles, I would definitely recommend this one. Benny was am interesting character though he wasn't a person I would want to really have as a friend as he seems like the needy person. Set in a 1960s English new town, Your Fault charts one boy’s childhood from first memory to first love.

Before the day is out, there’ll be shaved heads, a diva author, and a very large shipment of Air Jordans to contend with.

I was minded to give this a four score until that twist, which I didn’t see coming, and which was very original. As the translator of the Culpable trilogy series Culpa Mia,Culpa Tuya,Culpa Nuestra ; by Mercedes Ronn, it is important to address the readers with a respectful permission and advice. The 3 POV characters are all very different from each other and don’t even like each other very much, but they’re more similar to each other than they know (to the point where one of them reads another one’s poetry on the internet and doesn’t know it’s her).

When he is not working on his next thriller, you can normally find him walking his dogs (Loki and Gizmo, a Jack Russell terrier and a Chihuahua), rollerblading up and down the promenade of Weston-super-Mare, or spending time with his lovely wife. They were not friends at the beginning of the novel, so I really liked how their friendship developed, and I think their differing dynamics were handled super well, and provided really great foundation for their friendship. I found the book a slow burner to start, lots of little things happening, building up a back story, teasing with bits of information, enough to keep you biting, and turning the next page, not enough to give the story away. As years go by she marries Troy Dixon and has two children Mia and Russ but the dread always came for Hope's anniversary. As this was set during the course of one day, I really liked the fact that some of the side-relationships were pre-established, it really helped to contextualize the characters.

In general while I truly didn't feel very attached to these character because of the nature of this story and the short time span, I just genuinely adored the way these characters were portrayed as flawed but willing to learn and grow. The writing was very repetitive, the dialogues were very weak and the main character was too paranoid (although there was a (predictable) plausible explanation for it. After last summer, Noah thought their passion had grown stronger than their fear, but her life is about to turn upside-down again now that she’s starting university. I don't think it is anything that will stay with me for a long time but there is also nothing that I actively disliked about it.

I would recommend this to anyone who finds the premise interesting - that's why I picked it up in the first place.

One of my favourite aspects of the story is Rinn and the fact that she has a pretty huge social media platform talking about books. The author gradually and skilfully introduced me to Grace and her family and as he did, revealed their troubled personalities and a dysfunctional element that had been rumbling on for years. The powerful can just point at everything that they have amassed, as though that’s an argument against potential injustice and misbehavior. Rinn is a bookish content creator who loves to read, and that's something I was so so happy to see because who doesn't want to see their enthusiasm being reflected in a story they read? I appreciated the journey these three young women took over the course of the story and was happy to see a friendship form between them.

While I generally like a faster burn however this just had something to it that made it very interesting. Grace sometimes feels that she has inherited her grandmother’s mental illness and as a reader I felt her paranoia and confusion. I got so many chilly willy's reading this book, with almighty twists that come out that you are not ready for, so fast pace as your reading right to the end that leaves you feeling a contentment and I'm done and happy with that, I will most certainly be looking out for more of this author's work to come , excellent read, well done, with an award of top star's is really something.Yes, I’m speaking in contradictions but it just makes SENSE in the context of this fun, hard-hitting, and wholesome book.
