The book is also quite repetitive and could have been compressed in a half, it is even ironic that Robbins says "our time is the most valuable resource" by lengthening the book. Also, I found most of the anecdotes and examples Robbins gave doubtful and questionable, especially in the first part of the book.

So, look at your values and look at the ways in which you can have your values working together rather than fighting each other.I felt like he repeats things a little too much & that the book could have been shorter. The second half is pretty exciting! Stuff that you can apply. I love that he made sure to explain that the stuff he's talking about makes sense. I will explain this with a metaphor. Imagine that you have an injury in one foot that does not allow you to walk. It is hurting a lot and it is paralyzing. What Robbins teaches you is how to stop completely the pain so you can continue walking through life. The problem? Well, the injury is still there, because PAIN is a SIGNAL that our body emits when something goes badly, either physical or emotional. And if you just forget about the injury because there is not pain, and the injury continues bleeding, you will be in big troubles.

Admittedly, the book is quite long for a self-help guide but it offers some exciting and inspirational strategies for success in an increasingly competitive and seemingly overwhelming world. I find that it perfectly complements Robbins' first book 'Awaken the Giant Inside'. He does an exceptional job of laying it all down in a step-by-step approach that anyone can follow. However, I have to say that to see the results of what he is recommending you have to practice what you read. It will not work if you simply read and do nothing about it. Most of Tony's core strategies for creating breakthroughs have come from his work with some of the biggest names in the business world: He's had the privilege of modeling and distilling the strategies of leaders in some of the fastest-growing companies in the world. He's used these distinctions to help optimize and grow enterprises to new and more profitable levels.

Anthony Robbins calls it the new science of personal achievement. You'll call it the best thing that ever happened to you. Chapter 11: this was a GREAT chapter to guide your life purpose and your objectives and goals. I recommend you doing the exercises on it, for sure the most valuable thing I found in this book. Unfortunately, this book is very technical and not as good as his next book, Awaken Giant Within. I struggled to understand why I do need most of the methods he talks about. While NLP is something very interesting, it still needs more work to prepare it for something that could be used outside of therapy rooms. Power of breathing: completely right, I just tried myself and it was really helpful. Most of the times we are not aware of the power of oxygen, but after all it is another essential nutrient for us.

Obviously this is only one of the many principles that makes the foundation of this very complete book. Unlimited power is mostly practical and give a lot of exercises to do, most of them, if done correctly, providing immediate results and can be fun to try. The examples may seem a bit dated (you have to keep in mind that the book was first published in 1986) but the theory is timeless. I would recommend reading some chapters of the book, not the whole one. Here is a little classification I will develop in more depth later in this review: Food combining: NO TONY, THIS IS COMPLETELY NOT LIKE THAT. There is a phrase a chapter onwards from Tony that says "every lie contains a grain of truth", and this is perfectly the case with this principle. Chapter 6: Very DANGEROUS chapter. I won´t say this chapter is useless (it is not), but it is not helpful for the reasons Robbins intends. Here, Robbins shows you principles of NLP that are not supported by sciences, and that may have a little of right, but in a global perspective are biased.
