Description

Grip It Fixings are a simple, yet effective plasterboard fixing designed to reduce the space taken up in the cavity and provide high load ratings. Now use the gauge supplied to check that the fixing is either 3mm or 6mm below the surface (6mm for rendered plasterboard, 3mm for not). The Grip-It plasterboard fixing has uniquely designed slim gripping wings that fold out in the gap behind the plasterboard and produce a secure and effective fixing making it the worlds ultimate plasterboard fixing. This type of installation causes immense stress on the plasterboard and tends to result in the plasterboard failing. Our biggest challenge has been ramping up production to meet the demand, not a bad problem to have and one which Jordan and his team have risen to and carried off perfectly.

Through six generations of manufacturing excellence, we recognise what it takes to design and create award winning brushware. If so then you need to either make sure you are going into the studs themselves or cut out a section of plasterboard fix noggins and drive your fixings into these. You can do a ‘perfectionist job’ by cutting out a piece of PB to the middle of studs, insert a piece of ply/noggins etc, screw Pb back on and fill and paint, or just screw ply on the surface with a bit of grab adhesive on the back for good measure. It takes a bit of a bashing getting things in and out and the weight it pretty decent and it hasn't budged. The GripIt was originally invented by 74 year old Grandfather Stan Daykin and his Grandson Jordan Daykin at just the age of 13 when attempting to fit blinds in a house. Once the fixing has been installed you simply rotate the metal wings to hold it behind the plasterboard.

Slim gripping wings open easily within the cavity to provide a secure anchor and distribute weight more effectively than conventional fixings or plugs. Was going to use these but how do you get over the fact the fixings may be slightly wider than the actual fitting you are putting up? I bought one of these after putting up shelves and drilling thru my (stupidly placed) telephone line. Gripit fixings are unique plasterboard fixings, manufactured in the UK,that provide the perfect solution to this enduring problem. The four different colors represent each GripIt® size which can hold different weights in plasterboard.

If you have plaster board on battens then it's a different ball game - need to locate a batten at least. IRWIN QUICK-GRIP® Heavy-Duty One-Handed Bar Clamps 300mm/12" evenly distributes up to 272kg (600lbs) of sustained clamping pressure, making it one of the top performing one-handed bar clamps available. Tried to install a TV mount with gripit studs but the screw is too big for the mount hole, now i just read gripit isn’t suitable for swing out mounts so can someone recommend an item to use to get the mount on a plaster wall? New removable dual swivel jaws and non-marring full-faced pads deliver even distribution of clamping force and can be removed for full contact of the swivel jaws to combat flexing at extreme pressure and to conform to irregular shapes.

Grip-It is a a UK based plasterboard fixing company, manufactured in Britain and are The World’s Ultimate Plasterboard Fixings on the market. IRWIN QUICK-GRIP® Medium-Duty One-Handed Bar Clamps 900mm/36 evenly distributes up to 136kg (300lbs) of sustained clamping pressure, making it one of the top performing one-handed bar clamps available. Please note: Gripits are not suitable for Cantilever, extendable, "pull out" or full motion TV Brackets. We’re happy to offer an exchange or refund on undamaged items within 30 days with a valid receipt or despatch confirmation note.I was somewhat cautious about drilling into the cinder blocks as they seemed rather soft and crumbly. The heavy duty anchors are great, but if the OP's new build is anything like mine, then the walls are dot-dab onto cinder blocks. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I did need the undercutting tool though, as may walls were dot and dab and had no space behind them.
