Kate Greenaway Medal: 1957 to 2005". Curriculum Lab (CCSU Burritt Library). Central Connecticut State University. Archived from the original on 16 September 2014 . Retrieved 23 July 2012. The owners of the houses remain unseen in this story, as do the police. But the storytellers do something interesting with police: rather than omit them entirely, they suggest nearby police. First with the proximity of the police station, next with the baby who wails like a police siren.

Adapt a PE or sports kit, or their school uniform - think Football Academy for sports kit, Harry Potter and St Trinian's for the uniform. Being my school's librarian, I now get to sort through books we get and idly skim through them when I've got a moment. Obviously, I'm not the target demographic for children's picture books. Be sure to examine the pictures in this one as there are plenty of visual gags. I love that Burglar Bill hangs a mugshot of himself on the wall.Following the success of Pied Piper Theatre’s Burglar Billlast year, this new two hander for very young children follows a similar format. There is little dialogue in Hare and Tortoise, lots of physicality and gentle joking, a neat narrative shape and some catchy songs. And it all sits very happily in the Yvonne Arnaud’s child-friendly studio space. Tina has written, adapted, directed and produced over twenty five plays for the company including a large scale national tour of Anne Fine's "The Book of the Banshee", and "A Little Princess" involving eight actors and eight young people.
