I just used the lenses in every day situations to take photos I wanted to take, and so what you’re about to read are my thoughts after spending a week with these lenses shooting real subjects, then having got back to the UK and reviewed the images taken with both. It's also very solidly built, comprehensively weather-sealed and gives you a choice of either screw-in front filters or gel filters at the rear.

Camera gear reviews matter to those who actually care to make use of the full potential of such tools. Otherwise, at least at 24mm, I'm wondering how it compares with the 24 PC-E lens, with the tilt aspect thrown in for extended DOF. looks a good bit more svelte without either of its optional hoods attached, though there are built-in mini-hood petals seen here that offer at least minimal protection. Don't use polarizers on ultrawide lenses; the sky's natural polarization will appear as a dark band in the sky!it will yield a similar magnification to equivalent lenses on other mounts, and will get you just as close. A word of warning, if you’re a purist who hates to get your gear marked, you’ll be out of luck with the 14-24 as removing and replacing the lens cap marks the hood slightly every time you do it, due to a (needed) snug fit.

Constructed using a Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material for greater precision and use in wide temperature variations. When they say "Wide open sharpness drops off quickly as you move away from image center" samples provided by CameraLabs demonstrate quite the opposite; sharpness in the edge remains very good at 2. Don’t let that fool you in to thinking the 16-35 is virtually the same in performance, because in certain conditions it’s not, BUT, in a lot of conditions it’s performance isn’t as noticeably inferior. I’ve got to admit, having just handled the 14-24, I was fully expecting to be disappointed with the feel of it’s cheaper little brother.

No in-lens stabilization, and no sensor-shift stabilization system can stabilize the corners at the same time as the center with ultra-ultrawide lenses. The only trouble was having to wait between all the camera flashes from other people before I could take my shots! Takes huge 112mm filters rather than normal-sized ones - but's that's better than the F-mount AFS 14-24mm f/2. Let Dale Ralph Davis to guide you through Luke’s investigation into the man Jesus, who has come to seek and to save the lost. On a cropped sensor, the 14-24mm is equivalent to a 21-36mm lens, which is still wide enough for most situations, but not quite what it was designed to be…the 7mm field of view difference is quite significant on the wide end.

ED VR II Lens from Nikon is a sharp, versatile, and durable telephoto zoom lens with a fast constant maximum aperture, useful in lowlight situations.

While central and peak sharpness at your point of focus are both very good wide open, across the frame consistency is lacking. Five Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements and one F Low Dispersion (FLD) element markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and colour accuracy.
