I think before we can make any recommendations, we need to know what equipment you have (Sound Card and Amp), and precisely what you are trying to accomplish? Are you recording music on your computer? Are you playing music from your computer? It is not really clear to me. Most often the computer is the source, it play music into the amp. This is where the phono stage (or phono preamp) comes in. It has two jobs.
