Maksim and Sasha have a really good friendship. (Take that Aiden-Cole!) Kirill is so jealous of Maksim 😂.

The Hero: Kirill - He is the heir to a Russian mafia family in the U.S. To get away from his father, he joined the Russian Army and is now a captain of the special ops. He is every bit as dangerous as that sounds and has honed his body into a killing machine. He is surrounded by loyal men in his unit. I honestly can’t wait to see if Rina writes about the supporting cast and I hope to hear more of Maskim and Yuri and their adventures in Russia. So many great scenes with the mafia crew. Scenes from other books include Rai still pregnant with Nico and Anastasia is already married to Knox. I love Adrian and Kirill’s growing closeness and advice to Kirill. Kirill’s annoyance with Rai is hilarious. Thank god she has Kyle 😍 I really loved seeing the other sides of Kirill’s character. I went through so many emotions with him over this series but finally we got to witness his devastation of losing his wife. Of seeing how brilliant his mind was in strategizing what he wants his future to look like , was what kept me seeking to hear more of the story. Moreover, I think it's sort of bold and badass of RK to write about Russian characters in a positive light, considering the current geopolitical circumstances. It's cool to see that not everyone chooses a safer option of villainizing the whole nation in a public space. Who'd have thought RK's thinking is so progressive.

The book starts with wedding scene of Kirill and Kristina. After some manipulations Kirill get his dream of Pakhan and news of Sasha’s death. Kirill’s grief 🥺 over 2 months was just heartbreaking. Not only did they help me, but they also helped you and offered you warmth and shelter from a deadly storm. How are you supposed to protect your soldiers if you can't display gratitude to your benefactors?"Kirril with add an extra thump to your heart, and with Sasha you'll end up admiring her for her sheer determination/will power to prove that she belongs in this mans dominated sector. the sauna scene 😉. I’m making it its own bullet. The determined way Kirill ate his cereal beats any Olympian champ trying to eat his breakfast. And the flawlessness 🔥😮‍💨. If only all men were as determined as Kirill 💅 he did not come to play. He beat the competition 💁🏻‍♀️. You get first place Kirill 👏🏻 We get to see the scene where Rai (drunk) walks into the office where Kirill/Sasha are about to have sex and this is where she believes that Kirill is gay and with his bodyguard and instead of shoving Sasha under the bus, he protects her. Allows Rai to have something over him and owe her a favor. I don’t like constant groveling. Half the book is Sasha fighting her feelings and I find that boring. This also means less intimate scenes which should be the best in a trilogy but not so many in this book. Sasha always regrets not telling Kirill stuff in the end and fighting her feelings. Yes he manipulated but he was also there for her.

Their love story did not come easy. It was hard. It had secrets, lies, twists and turns. But the passion that burns between them is absolutely mind blowing! This entire trilogy had me rooting for them while simultaneously cursing them out for everything. What a wild ride! My squeal echoes in the air as I jog through the snow. The twins, Erik and Eduard, follow right behind, their steps squishing in the wet slush.

It's almost embarrassing that Sasha, our naive little doll with debris inside her skull, manages to fool everyone except the hero into believing she's a man when she literally has zero self-control, strategy or sense of purpose and direction in life. 😂 Was her defiance supposed to make her look like a badass female? Because a naive me thought that a badass in the traditional sense of the word means It was boring and bland in parts, and I'm not a fan of drama and action relying on characters' stupidity. It detracts from the thrill and unpredictability of the plot per se.
