Price-wise it isn’t a cheap toy but it works, its novel and great fun! I think as its so light it feels a little expensive but I guess it needs to be quite light to fly. Blue eyes – If his eyes turn blue, Owleez is cold, and he will make little shivery sounds too. To warm him up, children can press their hand against his forehead.

The boys have been fans of Tom Gates for a while now. M has always loved reading books that make him laugh and contain humour - they tend to keep him engaged in reading. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. The instructions do say keep the nest at least 5 foot away from any obstacles, so that is probably wise to avoid crashing. USB RECHARGEABLE: Forget nagging mums and dads for batteries, simply place Owleez in the nest to easily charge their internal battery with the built-in USB cord. Plus you can keep playing together while it charges! I loved Owleez the flying Owl toy! I really didn’t expect such a small, light little toy to have so much power and start flying like a helicopter. I always find with Spinmaster toys, there is the WOW factor and you almost have an experience and not just a toy. This was no exception. She may not fly also because she is sad and she’s needs some confidence. Pat her head and comfort her. When it comes to deciding on which of the toys and games that on the children’s wishlists will make it under the Christmas tree. I like to work out how interactive the toy will be, is it one that they will play with once or twice for it to lose its sparkle and end up on the shelf. Is it something that will help them learn through play (lessens the mum guilt of the kids playing with toys – instead of doing crafts, visiting museums and all that jazz). As well as it being something that they can all partake in. Whilst they do have their own toys, games and things, it is lovely to see them inter-mingle with their siblings once in a while.

M has been living in his @TheRealTomGates pyjamas recently, and I think he might wear these when his World Book Day dress-up day comes around (the school celebrate with Book Week rather than just Book Day) Owleez the Flying Baby Owl Interactive Toy from Spinmaster Owleez showcased outside for the purpose of photography, however, please note that Owleez should only be flown indoors Take a look over at Keep Up With The Jones Family to see how well they succeeded in getting their Owleez to fly – it’s not quite as easy as it sounds, but it’s part of the fun. We had so much fun on the after-dark twilight trail @polesdenlaceynt last week. The boys loved carrying lanterns for part of the trail.

What are Owleez

Red eyes – Look out for the red eyes, as this means your Owleez is sad, and he may even start to cry. To make him happy, children should pat his head until his eyes turn white.

There are issues when you can’t get your Owleez to fly but the instructions and trouble shooting are helpful and with a bit of persevering it does usually fly! Just follow the Owleez how to fly instructions and you should be fine. I have to admit the whole family’s reaction to our Owleez pink first flight was pretty hilarious as we have never seen anything quite like it, particularly as she zoomed around the room! We all proper howled with laughter as watching it whizz across the room before crashing down to the floor with a bump was really funny to watch. The flying experience is fab! It’s like a Owl helicopter and the propellers really spin fast, as it is about to take off! We were all watching, thinking is it REALLY going to fly??

More About Owleez Flying Owl

SOUNDS AND MOVEMENTS: With over 100 sounds and movements, as well as being able to show you their mood by changing eye colour! This adorable baby owl can’t learn to fly indoors without your help and practising together is so much fun! The more you practise, the more comfortable she’ll get. Place her in the included nest and watch as she spreads her wings and magically takes flight right out of the nest. Owleez needs your help to learn how to fly and in the box is the owl, some berries and a nest. Setting Owleez up

Owleez is a new interactive toy, which is bound to be top of children’s Christmas lists for this year. Best to visit by car, nearest stations are 3/4 miles away (Boxhill & Westhumble, Bookham and Dorking) AD] As Stay Active Ambassadors, the boys have been testing out another one of @CharacterToys products this month. By far the best part of the Owleez product is when it flies and as it practices it gets better, flying for 10 seconds as a maximum. My eldest and I I tested this out on our own when her baby brother was sleeping and we were screaming and laughing, it was that much fun. I guess I didn’t know what to expect!! To try and achieve the best flying conditions, you need to place the nest on a flat surface with plenty of space around. Owleez will then pop her head up to reveal her propellers. Be warned – this part is rather noisy!

Our Owleez review

Most importantly, and like nothing we have ever seen before, the Owleez toy also has the ability to really fly and if looked after properly, will actually spread its wings, lift up from his nest and fly across the room for up to 10 seconds at a time. The more you practice flying, the better the Owleez will get! Where can I buy an Owleez toy?
