This is the first Dog Man book not to feature a George & Harold intro or a recap of "Our Story Thus Far." Hexotron-Droidformigon (also known as 80-HD/Lightning Dude as his Supa Buddies Alter-Ego) is one of the Dog Man series’ three protagonists. This mechanical fellow was created by Petey. Petey tells Sarah that he moved to Happy Home Shelter when he was little with his mother, even though they were very poor his mother gave him love. Even after she passed away, Petey felt that love with Li'l Petey and thinks that love can last forever. Sarah ends the show, and can't think of anything going wrong. Then, Sarah, Petey, Li'l Petey and her cameraman are snatched by the sippy cups and Sarah admits that something has gone wrong. Chief is the leader of the police force and one of the main protagonists, later a supporting character in the Dog Man series. In Mothering Heights, he falls in love with Nurse Lady. Dog Man: Mothering Heights - Dav Pilkey

Petey's youthful "mistakes" and "bad choices" were chronicled in the graphic novel where he made his primary debut, Super Diaper Baby 2: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers. When 80-HD is about to reattach the door on Petey and Son's, the stripes on his arms disappear. A similar error also occurs in Dog Man to Petey.

Big Jim and Grampa make a cameo after they started arguing about Grampa calling Big Jim "buddy" when they were in the pink Sippy Cup. The musical interlude in Chapter 1 is a parody of the song, "The Greatest Love of All" by Michael Masser, with lyrics by Linda Creed. Piggy was originally intended to appear in this book, but never appeared. His return might've been scrapped. This is the second time someone has mentioned Batman. The first was Li'l Petey in Dog Man: Brawl of The Wild. Note: it Could be Possible that this book takes, place About one week after the events of Grime and Punishment, Likely due to Petey mentioning some things that happen in that book as a week ago. Milly is a redheaded female who appears in Dog Man: Unleashed and plays an important role in Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas. At the C.O.P.S., Milly is the Chief’s second-in-command.

Dog Man 10: Mothering Heights by Dav Pilkey | Waterstones

Dav Pilkey was born on March 4, 1966, in Cleveland, Ohio. He grew up in a working-class family and loved to read comics as a child. Dav struggled in school due to ADHD and dyslexia. In school, he was placed in special education classes as he was made to believe that he was stupid as a result of his reading problems. Petey's red cardigan sweater and tie were based on the clothing often worn by beloved children's television host, Fred Rogers from Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.Dav met a teacher in college who encouraged him to draw and write. In 1986, he won a national competition that resulted in the publication of his first book, World War Won. He wrote many other books before receiving the 1998 California Young Reader Medal for Dog Breath, which was published in 1994, and the Caldecott Honor in 1997 for The Paperboy. Hexotron-Droidformigon (Referred to as 80-HD/Lightning Dude As His Supa Buddies Alter-Ego) is one of the tritagonists of the Dog Man series. He is a robot built by Petey. The Chief is the head of the police department and one of the primary protagonists in the Dog Man series. Later on, he becomes a supporting character in the series. During his time in Mothering Heights, he finds himself falling in love with Nurse Lady. Nurse Lady Genie S. Lady, RN, and BSN (better known as Nurse Lady) was originally seen in the first Dog Man book and has been seen in the prologue of every book so far with the Doctor. She appeared in Cat Kid Comic Club giving Flippy advice to let his kids do what they want with comics. The primary antagonist of the Dog Man series, Petey, is now a tritagonist. Super Diaper Baby 2: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers, which was canonized in Dog Man: Mothering Heights, featured him for the first time. Following his string of valiant deeds in Dog Man: Lord of the FLEAS, Petey’s initial status as the series’ primary antagonist was changed.

She later appeared in “Dog Man Mothering Heights” in Chief’s dream, as well as later in the book, when she informed Chief that Nurse Lady was on the phone. Mean Officers

Dog Man arrives at the police station and the Mean Officers start bullying him because of his cone. Dog Man presses the button on the top, which causes him to change into his Mecha-Suit. The mean officers run away in fright after this encounter, and they hide behind the plant Dog Man usually hides behind. Dog Man turns off the Mecha-Suit and discovers that Chief is writing a love letter to Nurse Lady. Dog Man doesn't like the letter, and expresses this by blowing a raspberry. Chief crumples it up and throws it away and admits that he'll always be alone. Dog Man then comforts Chief after realizing what he's done. As with most of the more recent Dog Man books, the serious stuff here was quite well done, and never felt like it slowed things down or weighed things down. The bathroom humor has never been a favorite of mine, but my son (13 now) still finds it hilarious. The main source of much of this was Molly the psychokinetic tadpole, who is Lil' Petey's best friend, which seemed a bit weird because this wasn't an aspect of her character in previous appearances. Recasting Dog Man and his feline ward, Li’l Petey, as costumed superheroes, Pilkey looks East of Eden in this follow-up to Tale of Two Kitties (2017).

When Sarah and Petey see the hospital patients eating the candy and then Sarah says, "Speaking of weird transitions..." When the patient in Chapter 8 eats the candy Genie S. Lady gives out, the bed he was lying on in the previous comic panel is gone. Dog Man often has great "life lessons." There is a nice bit in here about how Petey struggled to be accepted in society after his first prison sentence and how he couldn't get a job, housing, etc. While most readers might not totally get the reflection of real life, it could be a good talking point.

The Mean Officers (the female is named Maude and the male’s name is unknown) are police officers who work alongside Dog Man and Chief, the two main officers. In Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild, they have frequently been observed bullying and antagonizing Dog Man, as well as incarcerating him once. Petey wakes up at his house, he was a baby probably like L'il Petey. In this time... Petey was with his dad and mother, and his sister.
