Description

Cricut originally released the EasyPress in 2017, and it came only in a 9” x 9” machine. The company then release the EasyPress 2 in 2018, which comes in three different sizes: 6” x 7” (ideal for smaller items like baby clothes), 9” x 9” (ideal for everyday use), and 12” x 10” (ideal for larger format projects).

Next was the glitter (270 degrees), and finally the foil (290 degrees). Be careful – both the glitter and the foil need to cool completely before you peel off the transfer tape! One great tip from the folks at Cricut is to fold your base material in half and use your EasyPress to create small creases in the material. This will for a plus sign on your base material that will help guide you when placing larger items. Enjoy your finished project! And remember to not wash your item for the first 24 hrs, to use only gentle detergents and do not use bleach =]

It works great with traditional heat transfer vinyl, as well as the fun stuff like heat transfer foil, glitter, and metallic materials. Wait a minute…why do I need an EasyPress if I have an iron? Note: Ensure your design is within the maximum recommended design sizes for using Cricut EasyPress Mini with Infusible Ink (2.75" W x 2.75" L or 1.625" W x 5" L). Didn’t it turn out amazing? I love all of the different textures with the matte, foil, and glitter finishes. EasyPress vs EasyPress 2: What Are the Differences? Start timer and move Cricut EasyPress Mini continuously across design until timer reaches 0. Cover all areas of design including center and edges and allow heat plate to extend approximately 0.5" (13 mm) beyond all edges of design. Before getting an EasyPress 2, I did a bunch of research, so by the time I received mine, I had a bunch of helpful tips already written down.

Cut your design: First, you need to cut your design and weed it, remember that you need to mirror the design before cutting if you are using heat transfer vinyl for your project. in this case, I am going to share the sample project that comes with the Easypress 2, so I didn't have to cut it and the carrier sheet comes with the shape of the graphic, so there is no weeding to do. The EasyPress is not just a beautiful machine design-wise, it's also a very intuitive and easy to use heat machine.

This will get rid of all wrinkles and smooth your surface if you sill see wrinkles, press again for another 5 seconds.

They have improved several aspects, the first version was only available in one size and one color, now some of the sizes are available in a range of colors. It has 2 main components, the base, and the actual machine, and as you can see below, it's pretty simple, and beautiful!

If your large design uses multiple different types or iron-on material or several smaller designs, you might decide to peel off the protective liners as you go. Just make sure the heat press doesn’t touch the areas you’ve already peeled off. You can use the liners for protection as you’re working through your design. Using the Cricut EasyPress to layer iron-on materials It’s soft but stiff, providing the perfect flat surface to press on. It eliminates moisture and directs heat where it needs to go: evenly dispersed across your project. And it also protects your work surface from the heat. Different color choices (purely cosmetic—this in no way affects the quality of your heat transfer). You don’t have to use an EasyPress Mat with the EasyPress, but it was designed for it and makes things really seamless. You want to avoid ironing boards, corrugated cardboard, and silicone baking mats/aluminum boil, which gets very very hot. Working around seams and zippers

Temperature button: To set a temperature, simply press this button and use the + or – to get to your desired temperature. Hold this button down and you can change between Fahrenheit and Celsius. Max temperature: The EasyPress 2 has a max temp of 400 degrees, compared to the original’s max temp of 350. Infusible Ink projects have special instructions. Carefully follow the instructions for your specific project in these Infusible Ink How-To articles. This bag, with all of its multiple layers, was super easy to create with the larger sized EasyPress 2, especially since I was using foil iron on. Iron on foil burns very easily and you have to be careful not to “overcook” it. With a smaller press, you have to move it around, and you may overlap areas that you already pressed. A single press ensures an even heating time on all parts of the design and ensures the foil doesn’t burn. Safety Note: Do not use the EasyPress while small children or pets are around, and always return the EasyPress to its safety base when you’re not using it. Even when it’s not hot, it’s just good practice. The heat plate can get VERY hot and cause severe burns if you touch it. Step 1: Cut design

The EasyPress is a Cricut machine companion, it combines the lightweight portability of a regular iron with the evenly-distributed heat and the surface of a heat press.
