Four Cousins has its roots in the Van Loveren family who have owned land in the Robertson area since 1937. The first muscadel wine was made by Hennie Snr. in 1939. The Four Cousins range was launched in 2000, initially in 1.5 litre bottles, and it is now South Africas biggest-selling bottled brand. The Four Cousins Natural Sweet Red is a ruby-red wine that has a rosy aroma. On the palate are notes of ripe fig and strawberry that make for a versatile wine. A fragrant, ruby-red wine with soft rose petal perfume. Flavours of ripe plums, strawberries, and exotic spices are followed by a soft, lingering finish. Hennie and Neil are the viticulturists, in charge of the farming units and managing the vines. Bussell is the winemaker and Phillip looks after the business side of things.
