The wit and sheer pace is exhilarating, the barmy fun never failing to hit the spot. An absolute treat for old and young alike don't miss it. **** What’s On Stage I got this book as a gift from one of my cousins, and it kind of intrigued me about what Maltesers had to do with detective work, and then I started reading it. In the end, I enjoyed the book very much. Not only does it provide you with questions that are only answered later on, but the comedy written in the book also entertains a lot, despite being small jokes, or just Tim's idiocy. New Old Friends are a multi award-winning company who create theatre with a desire to entertain the largest audience possible.

In 1991, The Diamond Brothers, a six-part television series written and directed by Horowitz himself, was broadcast on ITV. [14] The series is based on the book South by South East, which Horowitz claimed he wrote after he had written the television series, effectively making South by South East a novelisation of the television series rather than the novel acting as the primary source of inspiration. Both McLinden and Dale reprised their respective film roles, which makes the television series act as a sequel to Just Ask for Diamond. However, unlike the film adaptation, the series has never been released on any home media, and it was also never rebroadcast. It proved to be very popular, charting at 2 in the Apple iTunes Fiction chart, inside the top 200 overall podcast charts, was featured on BBC Radio 4's Front Row, was named as one of the Top 42 Christmas shows by the i Paper, and even won an OnComm Award. But the most rewarding was seeing the number of listeners and lovely comments from the audience.

In The Diamond Brothers in… I Know What You Did Last Wednesday (2002), seven friends, along with the Diamond Brothers, are invited to a remote island for a school reunion. But then the host is found dead, and other people start dying in bizarre ways with no way off the island. The plot itself is a spoof of the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None, whilst the title is a spoof of the film I Know What You Did Last Summer. Swiss Family Robinson In The Diamond Brothers in… The French Confection (2002), the Diamond Brothers win a trip to Paris thanks to a French strawberry yoghurt, but accidentally get caught up in a drug smuggling ring and end up being forced to team up with the Sûreté to take them down. After he left school, Herbert joined the police force at Scotland Yard, where he served under then-inspector Freddy Snape. Herbert's time there was short lived however, as after many a mishap, including shooting the instructor during weapons training, piecing an identikit picture that lead to the arrest of the Archbishop of Canterbury and piecing another identikit that had the whole police force looking for a man with three eyes and an upside down mouth, he was fired, much to Snape's delight. Continuing our long-association with Theatre Royal Bath, we were thrilled to present a festive treat for adults at The Ustinov Studio for Christmas 2021. He also contained no degree of bravery. Whenever he was held at gunpoint or in a life-or-death situation, he caved into cowardice and showed his true colours. This is shown frequently throughout the series and is seen to be his most distinguishing trait. Herbert was also constantly 'wrapped up in his own performance', for example in South by South East where he becomes so full of himself that, when an assassin's bullet narrowly misses his client, he barely notices. Lord Knows, the chair of The Whombledun International Invitational Tennis Tournament, has died and his son, Hugh, is suspicious. The police won’t take the case, so Hugh calls in private investigators Perry & Penny Pink, to get to the bottom of things. William Gott and Eric Himmell: Gott and Himmell were German, but they were educated at Eton. It is largely implied that they murdered the P.E. instructor, the local vicar, and the deputy headmaster, who was found hung with his own school tie. They were the Falcon's two lieutenants, and arrived in England the day after Naples. ONE BIG CHALLENGE OF THIS BOOK WAS THE MYSTERIES.THE CHALLENGING PART WAS THE SHOOTING,KILLING,KINAPPING,AND FIGHTING.IT WAS SO CONFUSING.THE SETING WAS KIND OF CONFUSING BECAUSE FIRST THEY END UP IN ONE PLACE THEN ANOTHER.

The pandemic has been awful in so many ways. For us at New Old Friends, it postponed/cancelled three tours and meant we couldn't present a Christmas show for the first time in years. But at the end of 2020 we were determined to present something to our audiences. The result was an audio version of Crimes Against Christmas released daily from 1st - 24th December as a comedy advent calendar. A secluded island hotel just off the English coast becomes a crime scene, as a scandal-inducing femme-fatale is felled. All the guests on the island are suspects, but are they alone and is all quite what it seems?
