Aside from the fitted sheet, the WinkBeds Fine Combed Cotton sheet set includes an extra large flat sheet (which can also be used as a top sheet) and two pillow cases. Always ensure that you get the correct fitted sheet size that corresponds with the size of your mattress. However, the Empyrean Bedding fitted sheet is the only one we tested that comes with extra elastic bands to support the corners. And yes, that is an Aero-Bed (our lead tester doesn't normally sleep on an 18-inch mattress...) If you prefer the feel of silk but don't want to splurge for the price, then California Design Den's fitted sheet might just fit the bill. This sheet is made with 100% long-staple cotton — verified on the tags — and sports a heavy sateen finish. This ultra-shiny, super smooth spread has a feel similar to silk (slippery), and although it is slightly thinner than other cotton sheets we've tested, it is not unsubstantial. For those who are eco-conscious, the OEKO-TEX Made in Green certification claims that this sheet is also produced "under sustainable and socially responsible conditions." When we make our bed and begin to layer clean fresh linen onto our mattress, after a mattress protector the next thing we usually add is a sheet. Colours and patterns aside, the bottom sheet which is the one you lay on directly, is generally one of two styles: flat or fitted.Fitted sheets are traditionally used on the mattress (the sheet you lie on) and held in place with an elasticated edge. Jersey fitted sheets are elasticated all the way around the sheet (not just the corners) for a perfect fit. The Nolah Bamboo fitted sheet comes as part of a set which includes pillow cases, a top sheet and a flat sheet. Unfortunately though, they only come in one color option, which is white. When it comes to softness and comfortability, we found the Nolah Bamboo fitted sheet to have a slightly crisp feel right off the bat when we tried it out – which is pretty normal for sheets made from linen fabric. But after a few washes, it turned softer, unlike other cotton sheets or even polyester sheets (Nolah recommends running it on the gentle cycle when you machine-wash).

Easy Care and Maintenance: I think most people want to have bedsheets that are easy to care for. When looking for easy care fitted sheet, go for materials that are known for their durability and that have strong stitching all around. Also, be sure they can be machine washed and dried and don’t require special treatment. Linen sheets are some of best sheets for those that tend to sleep hot and the most cooling of them all would have to be ones made from bamboo linen. Generous proportions. Our flannel extra deep fitted sheets are oversized. This allows for the natural shrinkage (which is perfectly normal) after the first couple of washes. Combed cotton is made by running fine brushes through every inch of the cotton threads, eliminating any impurities and loose fibers leaving behind only long, straight fibers that are even and aligned. (Personally I don’t …. it allows me to change my fitted sheets on a more regular basis). Pima Cotton:Very similar to Egyptian cotton, Pima also has long-staple fibers. This makes a sheet that is breathable and very soft. The difference with Pima is that it is grown in America’s desert climates. This is quite close to the climate in Egypt. Pima is high-quality cotton but costs a lot less than Egyptian cotton. Most fitted sheets are made from one form of cotton or another, including those blended with other fibers.
