One of the best Disney/Pixar efforts of recent years, despite the overbearing therapy-culture feelings-worship. These items include, but are not limited to: bathing aids, mobility aids, toileting aids, continence products, and other daily living aids. It's also the way the film represents the changes that maturation brings inside the mind and that which is lost as childhood is left behind, with Riley's one-time imaginary friend Bing Bong perfectly personifying the unfortunate by-products of growing up. This is certainly excellent once our adventure begins as there's a "long term memory" section where these wonderful color marble like things are collection.

I actually stopped watching as all the other "islands" fell away, leaving only FAMILY still floating, because the sentimentalism got too much. All that is required is the name, address, and disability of the person the item is for, as well as information about their chronic sickness or disability. It goes off the rails a bit when there are attempts to tie in closer to the film, like asking which Inside Out characters they most relate to, but overall, it's an excellent spotlight on the women who helped made the film happen and helpful guidance for young female future film folk. Inside Out arrives on three discs, two Blu-rays and one DVD, which are packed in a standard-width Blu-Ray keepcase with a dual-hubbed trays, inside an embossed slipcover repeating the cover art.The idea that everyone has the same, if personalized emotional set-up in their heads is utilized effectively for laughs, as are several concepts drawn from psychological theory, including the effects of abstract thought, as are the way the emotions interact with each other and Riley's life (like the headlines on Anger's newspapers and Disgust's general. The storyline is simplistic, the usual theme about being yourself and comfortable within your own skin, which again Americans seem to have a really big hang up about, that and being socially accepted for who you are! Director Pete Docter based the scenario off of both his own childhood experience of moving to Denmark as a kid and the changes he noticed in his pre-teen daughter growing up. But I do wish someone would make a film for children that suggests they might aspire to something more than hiding in the bosom of Family, until they can finally achieve the only goal worth having, and breed kids of their own. Four deleted scenes are available (16:53), with introductions from Docter, who explains how much work went into these clips, and the thought process behind their creation and removal.
