Gunshot was the only Scottish gin to earn three-star status in 2016/2017 in the Great Taste awards, which celebrate the very best in food and drink.

Nestled in the Angus Glens of Scotland, we create award-winning small batch gins using foraged botanicals & fruit. Created in small batches of 300 bottles per distillation in a 200 litre traditional copper still, the Gin Bothy hand-turns and hand-batches as part of its production process.

Brilliant. Incredible spiced rum. Now my firm favourite. Please don't stop making this. I will be buying this regular once the bottle has finished. The chilli liqueur is also amazing. It’s a hillwalking tradition to seek shelter and warmth after a long day on the hills. For some this is a cosy seat in the nearest pub, for others it’s a night in a bothy with a hip flask. The whole Bothy experience was wonderful. Great staff made us more than welcome and took a great deal of time explaining what we would see and do during our visit. After the introduction to the history of the Bothy we had the tasting , explained by the owner via a CD presentation. This could be paused at any time to savour the beautiful flavours of the different gins brought to life with botanicals and mixers. The Gin Bothy is a great asset to Glamis and wider Angus and Tayside. These were exceptional, especially the local produce on the ploughman's one. These were presented on the table as well as the room, gins and mixers were. In my opinion this added 200% to the experience, so don't skip them and add them in at booking. As cheap as a MacDonald's and an infinitely better "lunch". The Gin is great and the complimentary raspberry and gin jam is delicious (half gone already!) SIGNATURE SERVE: Perfect neat at the end of the day or with a tonic and orange to bring out the citrus botanicals. Add rosemary if you wish to complement the herbal botanicals within this delicious Scottish Gin. Of the several things we booked across the North East of Scotland, this was easily one of best experiences. If your short of time and have a choice of visiting the castle or here, skip the castle.
