He’s already sold out the iconic Kelvingrove Bandstand in August –those tickets went in less than 24 hours – and has a hefty run of shows to come, while the dream is Hampden. The whole idea was to keep it small, intimate, so the RED Sky Bar is perfect – and we are doing two performances so 300 fans will get to be part of it overall. It will be an incredible evening, seeing him not on a massive stage miles away, but just a few feet from the audience. In the three years since his debut, he has gone from playing to “two men and a dug” in pubs to selling 6,000 tickets in a couple of days, wowing a big crowd at TRNSMT last year, and performing at a sold-out two nights at SWG3.

His second album Vandals, out today, will rocket him to a whole new level – sure, he wowed a huge crowd on the main stage at TRNSMT last year and sold out two nights at SWG3, but that’s just the beginning. A Scottish singer will launch his album at an intimate venue in Glasgow, with two full-band performances at the Radisson RED Sky Bar. The ability to comment on our stories is a privilege, not a right, however, and that privilege may be withdrawn if it is abused or misused. There have been times in my life where I just thought getting music into the market was completely beyond me, so to have come this far on such an incredible journey is just something I have gratitude for every single day. Beattie grew up in Musselburgh, East Lothian [2] and released his first single "We Are Stars" in 2017.These songs are songs I wanted to record, not songs dictated by a label or by trends or anything else - they are just my view of the world. I’m over the moon with the results, as I wanted to get away from the sausage factory style that seems to have become commonplace in the industry nowadays. I grew up in a post Thatcher Britain, in a fairly rough part of Scotland, raised by my dad, and experienced the poverty and roughness of those times first hand,” he comments. The first single from the album Heart Stops Beating stayed in the Bauer Radio playlist for ten months.

When you start out the way I did, singing in pubs sometimes to two guys and a dug, your dreams are constantly put on the back burner. It was all about the energy in the room and our producer Chris Marshall did a phenomenal job of a getting the absolute best out of all of us. He continued: "Vandals is exactly the record I wanted to make and it was done with the best group of people. All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988. In May 2020 Beattie was interviewed by Robin Galloway on Pure Radio about his pride in the Scottish sound of the album, saying that his "heart will always lie back home". This music video gained worldwide popularity for the distinctive animation style and immersive colours. He’s dropped by for an impromptu song or two a few times in the past but we are really pleased he wants to celebrate such a huge occasion with us.

In the second half, manager Alex McLeish selected Beattie to play on the field alongside Rangers and rest of the world legends. He sold out the iconic Kelvingrove Bandstand last August – those tickets went in less than 24 hours – and he has a hefty run of shows to come, while the dream is Hampden. These adverts enable local businesses to get in front of their target audience – the local community. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the album release – hanging out with fans, playing old favourites and new stuff from the album and just having a party in this beautiful room overlooking Glasgow. Sleaford Mods battling for Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart with retrospective album All That Glue".There have been times in my life where I thought getting music into the market was completely beyond me, so to have come this far on such an incredible journey is something I have gratitude for every single day. My manager Dave made it all happen – he asked what I wanted and took away all the stuff that can get in the way, he created the perfect environment and mood for me.

On Sunday 26 March Beattie performed 2 songs, Heart Stops Beating and Salamander Street in the centre circle at Ibrox park for the Rangers Football Club Legends match. In 2019, he uploaded the anti- Brexit and Conservative Party song "Boris Song" onto YouTube, becoming viral. On 26 June 2020 Beattie released his first music video for the song " Salamander Street", about a former classmate who became a prostitute in Edinburgh. The artwork utilises a photograph by Gavin Watson, whose images of Thatcher-era Britain capture a fragmented nation.

The 33-year-old has attracted a growing number of fans due to his knack for writing heartfelt lyrics.
