Next, the upbeat “Lump” by The Presidents Of The United States Of America sounded pretty dynamic where usually it would sound squashed with typical ear bud-type headphones. The on-ear design of the P5 clamps on to your head with enough tension that they won't easily fall during physical activity. However, they're thinly padded, that, coupled with the on-ear design makes them feel slightly uncomfortable and tight at first. While Apple users get the full advantage of playback and volume controls, Android users can only pause and play.

these relatively compact on-ear phones are exquisitely finished in brushed aluminum, black leather and chrome steel. And at reasonable levels, the P5 sounds amazing—crisp vocals, smooth low-mid frequency response, and a general balance that exists in only the best headphones. At the same time, though bass quantity is enhanced, mids are balanced without perception of being too recessed. I think it's a very important point to make because I came across a number of other headphones with luxurious looks from a distance where upon a closer encounter you feel plastic and pleather. The vocals here get the ideal level of bright, crisp high-mid and high frequency presence—things are clear, never too sibilant.A blast of Muse's Psycho proves a rousing listen, the headphones maintaining the song's fist-pounding aggression. Grado's pair feature an open design with a full sound that actually projects audio outwards as well as towards your ear, and the larger size of the Sennheiser pair offers exceptional low-end and precision. They tend to be a bit too smooth which could affect some retrieval of details, but still have a good definition and clarity. The problem however, is when listening to other genres of music aside from those aforementioned ones. Today you can find a lot of headphones labeled as "premium", but not all of them could be considered as truly "luxurious".

Pair up was easy and seamless, and headphones were connected to phone and media audio without any problem. The styling of these headphones is just out of this world and in terms of sound, as long as you are not being too analytical about them, they sound very very good and will definitely please most people out there looking for a stylish headphone which sounds good. P5W vs M2W - M2W has a wider/deeper soundstage, a bit less sub-bass and a similar mid-bass, also similar lower mids, but upper mids are more recessed, darker, and a little less detailed, treble is also a bit darker and has less quantity in comparison. It’s worth noting that on-ear headphone comfort varies person to person and by the size of ears and whether you wear glasses.Take out the tray and underneath is a very classy fabric pouch that seals with a magnetic clip and has a diamond pattern stitching. A play through of Scarface's "Untouchable" reveals a sub-bass that extends surprisingly well and rumbles nicely in the earcups without upsetting the overall balance of things. Ambient noise is dulled, but voices and sharper sounds are clearly audible through the headphone ear cups meaning I was consistently forced to turn up the volume to drown out my daily commute. In general, on-ear fitment could be a hit or a miss, and as I mentioned before – don’t expect super isolation.
