I was trained in lock-picking, wall-scaling, fall-breaking, lie-weaving, voice-throwing, trap-making, trap-finding, and not a half-bad archer, fiddler, and knife-fighter besides.It's a single point of view book written in the first person and the character has a great sense of humor, sharp, self depricating, dirty - all things I like.

I gave Pagran back his glaive to crutch himself along on and had to let Frella lean her weight on me over a mile of uneven ground.

Regardless of any nitpicks, Kinch quickly became one of my favorite first-person characters in as long as I can remember, and its supporting cast of deep, rich characters combined with Buehlman’s creativity and wit brought this exciting book to life.
