creep in but they're rare and barely visible, such as on the left-hand side of the screen at the 1:24:17 mark.

We hear this in surround effects like helicopters passing overhead or Quint’s finger scratch on the chalkboard that sounds almost as cringy as in real life. While the movie lost out to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest for Best Picture, it’s widely accepted as one of the better films. Universal Studios Home Entertainment brings Steven Spielberg's Jawsto 4K Ultra HD as a two-disc combo pack dubbed the "45th Anniversary Limited Edition.Watch the bonus feature about how each frame was examined and repaired, some taking up to 2-3 hours each! Granted this is just another feather in his cap, but I wonder what kind of career he’d have had if this movie were a failure? Broken up into ten chapters, we get a look at pretty much everything that went into the making of this monumental classic and it’s a must see for any fan of the film. Black level is wonderful, adding superb depth to frame while holding shadow detail when required, minor crush on Brody’s black sweater in the Orca cabin at night, but that’s always been the case; but the darkness of the water at night is amazing.

But a recent wave of shark attacks threaten that industry and this leaves Brody with a decision to make: shut down the beach and risk losing financial dollars, or cater to the mayor (Murray Hamilton). And to this day, it remains one of the greatest, most effective suspense films ever made, delivering the sort of terrifying, visceral punch we expect from movies but rarely attain. There is a local fisherman, Quint (Robert Shaw) who knows the damage the shark can do and offers to catch it.

Jaws is one I watch at least once a year (reaffirming my commitment to never going back in open water). Gottlieb is known first (and foremost to fans of the film) as the character “Meadows” in the film, and secondly best known for co-writing the screenplay and story to the film “The Jerk” (1979). When a seaside community finds itself under attack by a great white shark, three men embark on a quest to kill it before it strikes again.
