I never even made a direct or insulting comment about his addiction. I only ever mentioned the Epill once. I could see a growing campaign against me, with images of his sister, ex-wife, and sons being promoted on PTI social media. It was deliberately being painted that his ex-wife and sisters were his family, and that I was an outsider who had no place. After he returned from one of the Lahore jalsas, I asked him why his nephew was telling the Information Secretary to put up old pictures of Yousaf Salli When my first husband would get drunk every night, I would get very angry about it, especially when he would collapse in public and I’d have to put him in the car and drive him home. My attitude was not the least bit understanding, but with Imran, I was gentle. Not once did I show anger or accuse him of being a drug addict. Instead, I adopted a quieter approach. Every morning, I would find his saucer hidden in a new spot, with a credit card and residual coke. I would move it so Imran would know that I knew. He had asked me right at the start to support him in getting out of his bad habits. I made gentle suggestions, and he made endless promises to quit. Her life story is not interesting enough to fill such a lengthy book.It is a no holds barred assault on Imran.

She also denied that the timing of the book release has anything to do with the upcoming elections. “Firstly, we do not know if the elections will take place at all this year. Secondly, it took me a while to put down painful memories on paper,” she told the newspaper in March, prior to the announcement that the vote would be held on 25 July. With regards to PEDO, the energy organisation that was renamed from SHDO, Reham makes startling claims of how corrupt the functioning was. Under Omar, PEDO involved privatisation of the hydel projects to PTI favourites or “cronies” as she writes at very low prices. She alleged that Khan had addictions and claimed that Khan possessed drugs like tranquillisers including benzodiazepines like Xanax and Lexotanil. [3] However, in a separate interview with German newspaper Deutsche Welle, Khan’s ex said the memoir was not exclusively focused on the politician. She explained: “The book tells the story of my life, my experiences, and my journey through different continents, different cultures. My marriages are a part of my life and so have been included in the book. It is an honest account.” However, some senior police officials reportedly told mediapersons on Thursday that they were being pressurised by the Prime Minister Office to take stern action against Mr Baig.

didn't find much sympathy. She had to get even, and so she wrote this book, nicely timed to be released just before the election which brought Imran to power in 2018.

Imran Khan says marrying Reham Khan 'was biggest mistake of my life', reveals startling fact about 3rd wife". as I was stood in the bathroom, he came up to the window outside and muttered, “I am sorry about last night”. I was more stunned at the apology. At the time, I took it as genuine remorse. The PTI is calling for the memoir to be banned in Pakistan, and has threatened to sue Reham in Britain on defamation charges. A number of legal notices against her have already been filed in Pakistani courts.Mr Baig was arrested earlier this week in a raid conducted by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on an application filed by Mr Saeed after the former made “unethical” remarks about the minister in a television programme.

He would say repeatedly; “You’ve made me give up cocaine. It’s no fun when your partner doesn’t do it”. And he would say it as if there was nothing else good about the marriage. I realised later that he wanted me to think he was not doing it anymore, so I would never talk about it after he carried out his plan. However, the drug use had increased so much by October that it couldn’t really be hidden. The day of the NA-122 (Lahore-V) result was a major moment. We had been watching the results on TV. I have nothing to say about Reham Khan’s allegations and whatever filth the woman’s written about me or anyone. It’s shameful beyond words. It’s pretty obvious whose hands she’s playing in, the woman and her aides have totally lost the plot.— Murad Saeed (@MuradSaeedPTI) June 5, 2018 His supporters allege the book falsely maligns him as a liar and hypocrite”, and fear that the allegations “could hurt Imran’s appeal among Pakistan’s conservative urban middle-class”, says The Guardian. A must read sociological treatise for our part of the world, predecsessors for which include books such as ˋThe Punjabi Century´ by Tandon & The Roy Family in Bengali. This book is partly a hagiography of the author and her extended family, and partly an autobiography of her famous ex—husband Imran Khan. Earlier, Communications Minister Murad Saeed at a press conference vowed to take legal action against Imran Khan’s ex-wife Reham Khan for “disgracing him and the PM” in her book launched in July 2018.Reham claims that her ex-husband engaged in gay encounters. Naming his close friend, Moby, she states that the men were in a “live-in relationship” despite the latter being married. She also mentions how she allegedly found empty cigar cases and huge tubes of KY jelly on Imran Khan’s bedside table. It was like scratching a wound. I think that the people in Pakistan, policymakers and [foreign] investors should learn from my experiences. If there are to be elections this year, I think the book will be very helpful to all those who want an insight [into Pakistan],” Reham added this week. The only part that I found satisfactory was her portrayal of a marriage with an alcoholic abusive man. The way young women are eager to please abusive husbands and often find faults within themselves is very realistic and common. In the entire story you have praised yourself to the extent that it gets really funny. Calling your face as 100 watt bulb, your teeth amazing, breath always fresh , most beautiful smile, best adviser, best conversationalist, your ex husbands always insecure of your beauty, your assumption that every other man fancies you, your exceptional table manners, your tall slim figure and list goes on.... Reader start to predict when you are going to praise yourself! your your Entire book is full of contradicting views and flawed ideas! In first part of book , you have potrayed your ex husband as a monster with literally no qualities . Yet you admit he was the one who taught you how to drive( even being worst instructer) and he got you into BBC talent hunt and drove all the way for audition! It is hard to believe this for a man who does not spend money on your basic needs, treats you worse than a slave, body shames you in bed and insecure about your beauty and confidence. Its hard to believe many of your first husband stories considering he was consultant psychiatrist! This story touches on sensitive issues, both political and social, and the author has had to resist extreme bullying, harassment and life-threatening situations to bring it to you. There are powerful people who do not want you to hear it – because it shows all too clearly that there are those in political office in Pakistan, and all over the world, who are not driven by a desire to serve the public but rather by venal ambition.

It was over in less than a year, and Pakistan's innumerable news channels had little else to talk about. Imran was still the idol, and Reham She also writes about how he used a mouth guard to stop his teeth from clenching due to the effects of coke. He also did heroin, the book claims. She further writes that Imran had possession of all sorts of tranquillisers, mainly benzodiazepines like Xanax and Lexotanil and also the banned Rohypnol.
