Description

Boasting a new recipe, crafted specifically to celebrate the historical occasion, Silent Pool’s Coronation Gin has been made using infusions of King Charles’ favourite Surrey botanicals, plants and flowers, with gentle notes of bergamot orange, complemented by elegant floral notes from rose petals, lavender and chamomile. To mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, the City of London unveiled a new still called Elizabeth after the late Queen. It is on this still that all Whitley Neill’s London Dry gins are made, including this special release. Combining flavours of orange and currants with the warming spices of cinnamon, ginger, allspice, rosemary, coriander, and angelica, the resulting juniper-led gin has a fruity and robust finish, fit for a king. It is recommended served with Fever-Tree tonic, ice, and a slice of orange. Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary. No coronation parties will be complete without it. Why would you toast the new King’s health with French Champagne when you can raise a glass of 100% British cider?”

Trying to stand out in a positive way within the world of gin is an interesting challenge with many shades of grey. If we’re talking about products simply labeled as “dry gin,” rather than overtly “flavored” examples that are meant to be dominated by a single aspect, then there are fairly tight boundaries into which the final product must fall—and thus, only so much room truly available for real experimentation. You can only stretch so far away from the juniper-driven style of London dry gin, after all, before what you’re making is more easily interpreted as flavored vodka. It’s a delicate balancing act. Shakespeare Distillery has launched Coronation Gin to coincide with the crowning of King Charles III.It is a challenge to provide something alternative to alcohol that doesn’t compromise on taste, and for us to be able to achieve this whilst keeping as much of the distillation process in house as possible, is something we're extremely proud of." We wanted to mark the occasion with the launch of Devon Red Cider, which is created from British apples grown and pressed in Devon, using traditional methods, at the oldest working cider mill in the UK. The 70cl bottle has been designed with a patriotic red, white and blue colour scheme with the official coronation emblem on the seal of the lid.

Another commemorative product for this week's round-up, premium gin brand Whitley Neill has launched a limited-edition bottle of its Connoisseur's Cut London Dry Gin ahead of the coronation of King Charles III. London-based Meantime Brewing Company has teamed up with Record Store Day UK (RSDUK) to create Double Groove (4.7% ABV). English wine producer Chapel Down has announced the release of a limited-edition English sparkling wine to commemorate the coronation with all profits being donated to the Royal British Legion. Salcombe Distilling Co. has announced a portfolio of non-alcoholic spirits and aperitifs, New London Light, consisting of three new serves. a b "Whitley Neill gin production heads to London". The wine is claimed to be a classic blend of the finest parcels of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier from Kent. This complex sparkling wine has been aged on lees for five and a half years before its release now. Described by head winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire as displaying “complex aromas of ripe apple, fresh red berries and toasted brioche”, this wine is “perfect for grand celebrations”. Connoisseur’s Cut has a 47% ABV, with notes of juniper and citrus. It is made at The City of London Distillery’s Elizabeth still, named for the late Queen to mark her Diamond Jubilee in 2012. If you really want to go to town and impress your guests - King Charles lll Coronation limited edition and exclusive wine, champagne, spirits and beers are a great option. Best of all, the bottles are the perfect keepsake. In 2014, Whitley Neill won a gold medal at the San Francisco Spirits Competition 2014 and was referenced in The Telegraph Online as one of the five best gins to buy. [6] Awards [ edit ] Four Sis4ers Distillery director Hayley Robinson said: “King Charles is passionate about the environment, and we are passionate about sustainability – so we thought it would be a great idea to use fruit food waste for this latest gin, to repurpose the strawberries into something special to mark such an iconic occasion.
