Have to say I still like the stainless steel version, tried both for at least 6 months and like the mark 1 for having a lip to drink safely not to hot and the stainless steel to me at least is easy to clean with any material and therefore a little more hygienic. The mark 1 isn’t as snug as the NATO cup, but I used to pad it out with cuppa soup or coffee sachets.Well, as I see it, most of us could lose that additional 100 to 200 grams from or girth but controlling food intake a week before the hike!
