Of course as many of you are certainly aware the word portable is no longer used only to describe compact battery powered speakers but rather just about anything you can carry around with you including some quite large wall powered models that feature impressive power outputs and features. In terms of sonic quality and performance, you won’t feel a big difference between AUX and Bluetooth, and you will be able to enjoy the speaker regardless of whether you’re using the bluetooth or the Aux input. It should be noted that I have absolutely no affiliation with AIWA, I am not receiving any incentive for this review or to sweeten things out. The size of their first product isn’t so large that it can’t be moved around, but it isn’t so small that it can be thrown into a backpack. Although the Exos 9 is one of the best Bluetooth speakers for the money, it is not going to be up to par with a component system.

Other features include Bluetooth connectivity (A2DP/NFC/aptX/AAC/SBC), TWS pairing (wirelessly link two Exos-9 speakers in dual stereo or stereo separated configuration), 3. it has built in a clear display and easy to use 5-band graphic equalizer or you could use one of the presets. If you have NFC (meaning almost everybody except Apple), there is a labeled touch spot on the top of the speaker. Since it is a bluetooth speaker, it won’t have any pairings, and there are no actual comparison point for it at the moment, but don’t worry, as soon as I’ll be reviewing a speaker that matches its description, it will get compared to Exos 9.The Exos 9’s design is best suited for home party environments, especially when one takes into consideration that there is no weather protection on this speaker.

I haven't seen anyone here with images of what the Exos-9 really contains inside, but I've heard a few of you are curious.

They also say it never fails to impress with its full sound, low rumbling bass, crisp top end, and perfect mids. However, if you're looking for a more modern speaker with features like AirPlay, Google Cast, voice assistants and Spotify built, you'll have to look somewhere else - the Aiwa Exos-9 is the modern equivalent of an old-school boombox.
