Ciroc uses grapes grown high in the Gaillac region of France and distills its vodka five times before bottling. It uses a cold fermentation process to ensure the best flavors and offers a refreshingly different and excellently crisp taste. Brad I’m glad we could help! I’d definitely recommend Sobieski over Pennacle any day. You might also try Svedka. Sobieski and Svedka are around the same price but Svedka seems to have better distribution. Cheers! Thanks to Robert and all those whose comments steered me away from less deserving and more expensive liquors.

But if you enjoy the spirit more when mixed, a range of the best vodka-based drinks can be created with any brand on our list. I was an “absolute” drinker until Sobieski was recommended to me. Couldn’t believe, at the price, I liked it better than Absolute. The price dropped and I wondered if there were sacrifices in the process and that the taste would suffer. It doesn’t seem to be a problem. 5-star recommendation. At 3 times the price, it would still be a good deal. This is a really good vodka. I got a first bottle to balance out my expensive stuff. When I finally tried it a few weeks later, I kept questioning my memory of it being cheap. The 2nd bottle confirmed it; it’s cheap, and it’s really good. It’s now moved in to my #2 spot behind only Imperia.

11. Polish Standard Vodka

On the other hand – Scottish boast about their whisky, French are proud of their Cognac & champagnes. Perhaps there is no reason to feel uneasy about this issue and simply admit that… The name says it all: “luxurious”! Luksusowa is a creamy triple-distilled potato vodka, one of the oldest brands in Poland.

As far as I’ve heard, Sobieski and Belvedere only have the same country of origin (Poland). I’ve not heard anything else. There are constant rumors that Grey Goose and Pinnacle are “the same” but I’ve found no evidence of that either. You are right, though, to question what “released” means. There are a lot of steps between growing grain and waking up with a hangover that Sobieski and Belvedere could share. Almost all of them would have little or no effect on either product. What can I say? I love vodka and Sobieski beats every brand I’ve ever tried!!!! That includes goose, absolut, sky, Smirnoff, ketel one, naked jay, svedka, need I go on? For the price it can’t be beat!! Only being poor keeps me from drinking it exclusively! It’s the traditional Polish vodka, with a specific sharp taste. In the beginning, all of the vodkas were made from different kinds of grains. Then, when this liquor became popular, people started to produce it from other food products, such as potatoes and corn. Although I agree with your assessment of potato vodkas from Poland, Monopolowa isn’t from Poland, but Austria.
