No mixer is complete without the ability to place sounds across the stereo field. Panning may not seem like the most exciting performance or production technique, but it is imperative to getting the most out of your mix! Panning is the act of distributing a sound source over a stereo or multi-channel sound field. To enable the Mastering effect, press the [MASTERING] button so that it lights up. Hold down the [MASTERING] button and turn the [TEMPO] knob to select the type of MASTERING chain that you’d like to use. There are 10 different Mastering presets to choose from, each with their own unique signal chain, shown in the table below. When you store a SCENE MEMORY, the current settings for the channels, effect section, and mixer section are saved in the MX-1 as a single SCENE.
