I have to give it 5/5 overall, the good songs far outweigh the ones not as good, even though they're still excellent to listen to. The soundtrack was supervised by Brian Reitzell and was released on September 9, 2003, through Emperor Norton Records and then for RSD2019.

My favourite tracks on this collection are without a doubt Girls by Death in Vegas and Just Like Honey by the Jesus and Mary Chain, I dont believe I would have been likely to have discovered those tunes besides hearing them on this soundtrack but I think I would check out those bands/artists now that I've heard of them. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but they have darkened the cover to the point of the Scarlett image being illegible. Lost In Translation was the soundtrack to Sofia Coppola’s Academy Award winning movie of the same name. As a whole, I love the soundtrack, I've listened to it 4 times through so far, and I still can't get enough of it.City Girl (Kevin Shields) - Kevin Shields made this song for Lost In Translation, while he was still in hiatus from My Bloody Valentine who weren't together at the time. It's the best song, but it's not my favourite song, if that makes any sense, the last song is my favourite, because of how it fits in with the ending. Coldplay release their ninth studio album Music Of The Spheres which features 12 new tracks including recent no.

My only complaint is it isn't longer, I wouldn't say it's essential, in my opinion, it's still very good but feels slightly out of place. Back in print for Lost in Translation: Music from the Motion Picture Soundtrack the soundtrack album to the 2003 film Lost in Translation, directed by Sofia Coppola. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. It featured five Kevin Shields tracks (one of which was a My Bloody Valentine track) it also featured artists including: Air, Death in Vegas, Squarepusher and The Jesus and Mary Chain. She applies lipstick, changes her hair and fits a cherry blossom lampshade (representative of how much she can embrace Japan at that moment). Related Artists - Hair (The Musical), My Little Pony, Original Cast Recording, Steven Spielberg, Transformers. The songs fit so perfectly with the film, I'd like to know who was in charge of selecting them because they have exceptional taste. In the edit page, go to the 'Metadata' tab and add your Juno artist, label or release page for listeners to purchase your release / releases.I’ve wanted this soundtrack on vinyl forever to have the Kevin Shields tracks and was finally able to with this reissue.

They go downstairs I believe to the bar, and chat the night away, before an emotional goodbye that Bob thinks is the last one. Saying no will not stop you from seeing our ads, but it may make them less relevant or more repetitive. The dream effect comes back here, to me it portrays something that's too much for you to comprehend, in this case the massive city of Tokyo, and how confusing it can be for a foreigner. The movie itself has a sort of moodiness about it, if its possible to experience a cheery melancholy then I'd say that's it, and I can say that it carries over into the soundtrack completely. Sofia Coppola's melancholic reflection on Tokyo through Western eyes plays out like an especially emotive dream, and that's thanks in no small part to the regal tones of Kevin Shields' shoegaze imprint punctuating the thoughtfully selected songs.
