My only problem with some of the recipes was the length of time to make them and the 20+ ingredients. Plus she didn't really want to get into the science of why so instead she gave key quotes from other people in the field. I have given up sugar (used to have 2 in every cup of tea), gluten and dairy products except the main ones that are ok to eat for me. Good recipes for healthy living - as someone with metabolic issues, I appreciate the approach of the author - this is not your typical diet plan book, but rather a guide to change your lifestyle to eat clean. As a pregnant nurse I have to snack, as a nurse in general really, but I’ll have to look into it more.

I tend to really dislike when anyone makes such overarching statements like "We have been grossly misled to believe that yogurts are a healthy product" or advising people to sit in the sun versus taking a vitamin D supplement ("[people] cover [them]selves in (toxic) sun cream, and it can result in a vitamin D deficiency).Although there is a recipe section with photos and some meal ideas throughout the book, it is scant, and I would have liked more in this area.

Ebooks fulfilled through Glose cannot be printed, downloaded as PDF, or read in other digital readers (like Kindle or Nook). Rather I expected that with her degree and profession, I'd learn more on a holistic and well-being level.

Most of the illustrations are a bit pointless (except for those accompanying the recipes at the end) especially the drawings and photographs of vegetables.

Many mums encourage their children to eat lovingly prepared food with greens, yet they grab a quick bowl of pasta for themselves. So I googled things to do before you start a diet: Kitchen came up with all of them but the list below was from 2009. shows you how to gradually wean yourself off of gluten, sugar, and dairy; quit the snack habit; cut back on caffeine and alcohol; and incorporate nutrient-rich foods into your daily diet. Her points about some certain facts, the things she talks about sound totally logic, make sense and every page brings even more truth and how to deal with it the best way possible. A friend at the library handed me this and said 'you might enjoy this one', and as I read it I was surprised to see that 85% of everything I've done to become healthier over the past three years was in there. If you are someone that wants to start eating healthier then this book would probably be a good introduction to healthy eating.
