There’s also a faint floralcy that sometimes sings juicy to me, and sometimes, pulverulent like frankincense powder; the blend is gauzy in a photographic way… relevant through itself. Like a memory. Lune Feline opening and dry down are very different. It starts with a blast of red pepper, almost makes me sneeze, but later becomes cozy sweet woody fragrance . I’d say it’s my third favorite Atelier des Ors. She avoided me, the cat, for the whole 14 days, eyeing me from afar, suspicious, as it seemed to me. I too had some scary moments with feral cats when I was a young child. Since then , I’m always really careful when I approach cats , feral or not. Conclusion: even though I can perceive the vanilla after about 30 minutes on the second day of testing, the sour wood pile spoils the fragrance for me in such a way that despite beautiful vanilla, there is no desire whatsoever to want to own this fragrance.

In heraldry we can find not only a panther, but also its sweet smell that comes from its ears and mouth as fire flames and smoke (called Panther Incensed). It was not only a feline, by the way – it could be a fire-breathing dog or donkey, four-horned horse, and other chimerical creatures colored in heraldic colors. In certain medieval books, the panther is shown as a wonderfully beautiful beast. The gentle beast sleeps for three days after feasting, only to wake up with a loud roar, and while it is roaring a sweet smell comes out of its mouth. Any animal (except the dragon) that hears the roar follows the sweet smell to reach the panther. Only the dragon stays away, hiding in a hole because it is afraid of the panther. Then the panther chooses its prey, and the cycle repeats.

It’s wonderful to see how Dana relates that experience she had that day with a fragrance , the parallel is like an olfactory deja-vu! He does what he wants, the scent, and is similar to the cats in it, perhaps even in the smoothness, which does not hide fine sharpness, sharp edges like that of Lapsang tea. Today I brought out my "Lune Féline" sample to sweeten my grey working day with a lot of labour-intensive files on the PC. As a cat fan I had to have them, just like I originally took a closer look at "The Bewitching Yasmine" from Penhaligon's because of the enchanting cat flacon, only to discover that I really like the scent too. Lune Féline from Atelier des Ors proves that some part of the legend was true. The sweet smell of vanilla, cardamom, styrax and musk can attract not only four-legged creatures, but women and men alike. The vanilla takes its time. On the first day it takes but actually 1 1/2 hours until I notice that it will not remain only with this sour note. Slowly rolls up quasi from behind a vanilla cloud, which from the beginning suggests its beauty: warm, soft, dark, creamy and little sweet. Only unfortunately, it doesn't manage to finally displace that tart, resinous woody pile. From now on, I have on my skin quasi a "little tree-change-you" game: sometimes wood pile, sometimes beautiful vanilla.

Iris Fauve is what I decided to buy, and again had to buy it for abroad because it’s not available at both boutiques i mentioned. Rose Omeyyade 20ml decant i also have. Scent: Extrait is an 8.5, EDP is a 9. The original [EDP] keeps the best parts of the scent in tact both in the air and on skin. Dark, tropical, deeply mature vanilla opens on my skin, warm and dense and wonderful, not shearing the bean around all those to which it should leave the way it wants the pyramid. I have had the pleasure to sniff Rouge Saray by Atelier des Ors and I have many of their perfumes on »my sniff in 2021 list«. Since I am a lover of green notes and vanilla Lune Feline seems a fragrance very compatible with my particular taste. Cheers from Slovenia (EU). Seductive vanilla, dark animalic musk, balsamic (smoky styrax and Peruvian balsam) and gourmet notes can be considered part of the Lune Feline sweet fluid magnet. Such sweet perfumes attract the noses of people with a sweet tooth at first, then their hands and at last their soul. For example, I know girls who do not count the money spent on salted caramel or raw vanilla macarons. That's how they escape being upset by squandering their money on sweets and measuring those sweet moments of happiness in new handbags, new shoes or summer days in Barcelona.

Our respected colleague Sandra has described briefly all five of the Atelier des Ors perfumes in a previous article. For my review, I chose one of the golden five, Lune Féline Atelier des Ors, for its especially alluring and sultry character. The creators describe it as a magnetic star, attracting and seducing. I do not know how stars may guide or pull behind them a ray of light – but perfumes work differently. We were like kids and bears, salivating profusely to the sweet temptation.
