Description

Will eventually succumbed to exhaustion, lying in his makeshift fort. The Demogorgon found him, breaking through the fort wall and taking him to the Upside Down library. Eleven first observed the Demogorgon hunkered over large, yellow eggs feeding off them. It’s not clear whether or not these were the creature’s offspring, or if they were even the same species. If the exit door is opened, Figure will first go towards the exit door and attempt to reach the escaped players, ignoring those that are still in the Library, before automatically chasing after and attempting to kill all players who did not escape the Library at around 2x speed, so the players need to make sure everybody exits at the same time. The player will also be able to move much faster. The exit door will be shut closed if either Figure finishes investigating the door or if there is no one alive left inside The Library.

Most knowledge on the Demogorgon is highly speculative - even Dr. Brenner admitted that he and his peers had a limited understanding of the creature. That being said, the behavior of the beast is "predictable" as Brenner remarked, comparing it to a typical predator. Nancy made similar associations: she compared the creature to nocturnal predators such as lions and coyotes. She noted that the solitary nature of the creature was similar to that of a bear.Stepping on debris scattered on the Library's floor will not make Figure pursue the player, but it will walk over to investigate. Figure feels a fear towards fire, this can be proved because in one of the cutscenes of the game it trying to run away from a light fire in the electrical area caused by oil spilled on the floor and a wire which was broken and releases a spark of electricity. Demogorgon also appears as a character in Percy Bysshe Shelley's Prometheus Unbound. In this lyrical drama, Demogorgon is the offspring of Jupiter and Thetis who eventually dethrones Jupiter. It is never mentioned whether Demogorgon, portrayed as a dark, shapeless spirit, is female or male. The theory of Demogorgon's name originating from Greek demos and gorgos may be the foundation for its use in this text as an allusion to a politically active and revolutionary populace. [12] Shelley's allusions to the French Revolution further support this. [ original research?] Figure's animations were improved in the Hotel+ update, being done by jasper_creations, who is more skilled in animation. [7]

If one waits in the room right before Door 50 long enough, the books in the Library would be illuminated by Guiding Light.Figure's hitbox extends to its arms, meaning that touching its arms (even when the player is a distance away from its body) will be lethal. There are no true safezones in The Library, even a spot that usually works can be patrolled by Figure, such as the widely used safespot next to the plant near the exit door. However, the only few reasons why Figure would patrol these spots are because there are many players and not all of them are crouching. Figure is one of the few entities able to alter the player's corpse. In this case, Figure decapitates or tears off the head of the player. If the player keeps ending up having Figure chasing them into closets, it is recommended to stay crouched and keep still, since Figure can only sense the player's heartbeat if they are moving.

When Figure finishes investigating the door, it will be able to kill players inside closets, without the minigames' appearance. To avoid being caught, it is recommended for players to stay far from Figure or behind objects, such as behind the sofa on the right of the exit door.Since Figure's hitbox is roughly the same as its body, generally Figure cannot kill players through walls or barriers. This is due to the fact that all parts of Figure's body, including its arm, is collidable. After reaching the balcony, it is recommended to hide in the corners next to The Library's exit, the best spot being behind the closet without the interaction of entering it (on the right) as Figure can walk along the left corner. After Figure goes down the stairs, the player can start looking for books upstairs. Players can walk normally without being detected if the Figure does not have a direct line of sight to them, or in other words the player cannot directly see Figure. Blood Detection: The Demogorgon was strongly attracted to blood and could sense even small amounts from different dimensions. This can be prevented by leaving the closet while Figure is attempting to detect the player, as the game would automatically equip what the player has equipped prior to entering the closet.
