If it smelled like this the whole way through, this would be an excellent, versatile fragrance for daily wear. It's got that acrid, flyspray smell that would knock you sick but at least when you use thinners or some nasty glue there's a chance you might get a little high off it. Its probably my skin chemistry but ive seen it mentioned in other reviews, theres a really unpleasant urine/public toilet note than persists for a long time. I love the aquatic, woody vibe, it has the freshness of the original, but so much more, it's a pretty complex fragrance, but oozes quality.

It is VERY different to the opening and there is a transformation going on I haven't experienced before to the same degree as with this one.Not bad—but very light-bodied due being so richly synthetic, and more than a bit underwhelming in all regards of sophistication for the same reason. Having said all that, there is something about this fragrance that takes me back to my childhood in elementary school. That said, it seems to me that L'Eau Majeure D'Issey crossed the line and abandoned the roots of the classics of the line Pour Homme (traditional, intense and sporty) and decided to fit in the pattern of oceanic scents. It might drydown really good or change or be nice on some people and I except that but I wouldn't even give it a chance to drydown. The cleanliness is decidedly too clinical for my taste where the dirty sweetness of Inv' on the skin keeps that as a winner head to head.
