Would have been better if they made the side panel out of those covers, opened out like fancy car doors from the middle - or had optional replacements to slap in side-exhaust for even more radiator placement options If you are using your PC as a creative workstation, the Lancool III can house four 3.5" HDDs and eight 2.5" SSDs, or twelve 2.5" SSDs, for all your storage needs. This is done by using a smart combination of detachable panels in the PSU compartment, modular drive bays, three mounting points above the PSU compartment, and two more mounting points behind the motherboard. Lian Li Lancool III Full Tower Case Specifications: Colour The two removable 4mm tempered glass panels located on each side of the case can be opened by pulling the front aluminum handle.

It's ventilated all over for passively letting heat out, but if you're running a top rad it feels like the airflow will be restricted and simultaneously you'll lose a lot of guided airflow since it'll just pass either side of the radiator instead of through it And the best view - the front side view. This build really shows how stealthy one can be, especially when RGB is not present. Final Thoughts The mesh panels located on both sides of the PSU shroud area can be removed for cleaning when the front panel is unattached. The two bottom side panels provide sufficient airflow to efficiently cool the GPU when fans are installed above the PSU shroud. Offering 7 colors and 8 lighting modes (the 8th mode is MB SYNC), the included ARGB controller can be operated via the front IO C and M buttons and can extend its control for 3 additional ARGB devices.Upright GPU – I briefly contemplated doing an upright configuration for my GPU. Lianli’s brochure indicates that you can use the EVO's upright mount to achieve this, however, the EVO upright mount only allows for a 120 fan at the rear, and I wanted a 140 fan which would not work. I’m not sure If there are plans from Lian Li to make a upright GPU mount capable of accepting a rear 140 fan. As you can see the Lancool 3 is significantly larger, in both length and height. This is to accommodate either a 360/420 at the top and front, and a 360 fan configuration at the bottom. This is way more flexibility when compared to the lancool 2, which only gave utility for a 280 /240 top, and 360 front, and 2 x(120) at the bottom. Comes equipped with 4 x 140mm high airflow PWM fans that provide strong out-of-box cooling performance. The covers are great, but it's such an odd choice to expose the 2.5" bays - were they expecting RGB SSD's or something in that space? If you choose the more traditional air cooling, the Lancool III can support tower coolers up to 185mm (7.3 inches). Supported GPU length is up to 420mm (16.5 inches), so even the most oversized graphics cards should fit without issues.

As the second chamber located on the right side is visible, great consideration has been given to cable management. The LANCOOL III features an upgraded solution to ensure neat cable routing with toolless magnetic cable cover doors, and a well-organized layout for hubs and cables. fan controllers/ fan hub mounting locations are provided between the large Velcro straps, with an additional one at the removable plate behind the motherboard. The LANCOOL III sports a futuristic look with its two brushed aluminium strips located at the front. Each strip doubles as a door handle for the right and left side tempered glass panels. With a modern I/O located at the top of the front panel (Power button, Reset button, two USB 3.0, USB Type C, Audio), users have the option to relocate it to the bottom for easier access when the case is placed on a desk. Although there isn’t much difference between the RGB and non-RGB model, we feel the marginal price difference between them is warranted considering the change is just RGB fans and the colour of the chassis. We’ve updated our testing hardware to use Intel’s 12 Gen “Alder Lake” platform, which has shaken up the desktop landscape (and taken prominent spots on our best CPUs for gaming list). We’re now using a Core i7-12700KF, which is being cooled by a Noctua U12s air cooler. Our graphics card is a Gigabyte RTX 3070 Ti Gaming OC.

Lots of mesh and four 140mm fans

The Lancool III provides a plethora of options for keeping all your components cool. To begin with, the front mesh panel facilitates great airflow and dust filtration. This is due to it having 15mm holes 2mm apart offering an exceptional 51% porosity. Out of the box, this case comes with four 140mm PWM fans pre-installed at the front and rear of the case. Alongside these fans, another three 120mm fans can be installed above the power supply chamber, and three 140mm fans can be attached to the top of the case.
