You may wonder how it is possible to have 32, 64, or even 128 notes playing simultaneously, if there are only 88 keys and we never play them all at once. What I don’t like is the build quality. I said the same thing about the GO:Keys, but the body construction feels cheap. The whole keyboard is made with a glossy/satin plastic, and its light weight just gives a bad first impression. Carbon-zinc batteries cannot be used. Current Draw 1,000 mA Battery Life for Continuous Use Rechargeable Ni-MH batteries (AA, HR6): Approximately 6 hours On the original GO:PIANO, being able to see what each sound is named helps a lot. However, since there are only 4 sounds on the 88-key version, each sound can get its individual button.

If you’ve used PDAs around the early 2000s, you’ll know how these buttons feel like. If you’ve never heard of PDAs, well, let’s just say that they have a reputation of being unresponsive. All in all, we see the GO Piano as one instrument that can survive years of use without breaking down. Keys Roland Go features either 66 or 88 unweighted keys with hammer-action mechanism That’s not to say that we didn’t come up against a few niggles. The performance touch pad controls are a little harder to get to grips with, the pitch bend and modulation proving somewhat laggy. We found ourselves wishing for a hardware pitch and modulation bender, as found on many Roland synths, to take care of real time performance duties, although the pads do double up as filter / note repeat FX controllers. The Roland Go:Piano GO-61P Digital Piano is the perfect solution for anyone wanting to learn keyboard or piano with no previous musical experience. Play Anytime, Anywhere! Alkaline batteries (AA, LR6): Approximately 4 hours*This figure will vary depending on the actual conditions of use. You’ll also get access to the ‘ Remote Controller‘ feature, which allows you to control the GO:PIANO directly from the device. For example, to select sounds or access the internal songs.

Mere looking at the Roland GO Piano series, you get the sense that portability is the primary design philosophy behind their construction. The 61-key version is 34.56 inches wide, 10.7 inches deep, and 3.2 inches long. Expectedly, the 88-key version is bigger. It is 50.5 inches wide, 11.5 inches deep, and 3.4 inches long. Transferability. You may transfer the Software on a permanent basis as part of the sale or transfer of the hardware system on which the Software is loaded, provided that You retain no copies of any version of the Software. It has Bluetooth MIDI and Audio connectivity, allowing you to play along to your favourite songs directly from your Smart Device. You can use the Piano Partner 2 app to play along to accompaniments, play games, read the score of the built-in songs in real-time and keep a diary of your practice. PP2 also opens the door to third-party apps, such as Piano Dustbuster 2, PiaScore, Sheet Music Direct, Skoove and Animoog.R. Assign this EULA, or any right or obligation under this EULA, or delegate any performance, without Roland’s prior written consent, unless You are transferring the Software in accordance with the Transferability Section 3 below. Even if Roland consents to an assignment, You remain responsible for all obligations under this EULA that You incurred prior to the effective date of the assignment. Bluetooth allows you to link the GO:PIANO to a smart device. The connection process is simple. You simply trigger pairing mode by pressing a button, and it becomes visible to smart devices. If you’re thinking of getting one of these for a child or teenager to start out on, let’s just say that the Bluetooth features are a big selling point There’s only a little difference between the material construction of the 61-key and 88-key versions of the Roland GO Piano. The 88-key variant features a red felt cloth behind its keys. While the cloth does not serve any performance-related purpose, it adds a “premium” look to the piano. Both GO:PIANO variants feature a reverb effect. You can tweak the intensity amount from 0-10. The algorithm is a hall reverb, and it helps give the sound a sense of space. By default, some sounds have the reverb engaged.
