As with the original Blu-ray release of the film, this transfer features heavy use of DNR (digital noise reduction). landed the lead role, turning this exploitative playboy into an entertaining caricature that survived the circumstances around him. That’s a shame, especially when compared to Sony’s Oscar winner “Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon,” which was rescanned for its 4K premiere, also from a Super 35 source. The surrounds are often employed with the boisterous chatter of large crowds, the screams of people running in fear, and music bleeding into the sides.

This title for is the best yet in terms of art work and despite the movie itself not being one of my favourite Marvel films, the quality in terms of picture and sound is very good. The film also stars Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow and Oscar nominees Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges and is be directed by Jon Favreau. The soundstage is big and wide, with lovely vertical extension in the height channels, not just during action scenes but also for atmospheric immersion. Thankfully, this is an absolutely stellar presentation, carrying some seriously grandstanding weight right from the cold open, whipping effects around your living room, rumbling the floor panels beneath your feet and delivering much of what you could possibly want from a decent Atmos track.
