There was some great characters in the book and the setting made the story so realistic you could visualise it. As you would expect the dialogue between the characters is as usual spot on full of humour, sadness, and sometimes anger, it gives the reader a wonderful insight into the Butler’s life, like many families they are protective of their own (most of the time anyway! When she told her family about her new aspirations, they believed that it was a fad and that she would grow tired of this new venture as well. The story takes us through Queenie’s childhood into adulthood, her marriage, having children and getting to know the younger butlers as children and watching them grow.

I was not sure about that and then I started reading this and then looking at my Kindle book Wishlist and chocks away they are quite right. So glad she shared Queenie’s story with us as the Butlers have been a huge part of my life over the last few years since meeting them and are one family you will never forget. This book can be read as a standalone but I'm sure if you haven't already read the Butler series, you will after reading this marvellous book. Keep on writing, you take me to all sorts of different places whilst reading them, a testament to how well written they are!
