Main article: List of Henry vacuum cleaners Various Henry models on display in Currys, Harrogate in 2022 A Henry HVR200 and Hetty HET200 Have Questions about Henry, Hetty, Charles, George – or any other vacuums? We may already have the answer… What’s the best Henry for my small home or outhouse? You would expect him to be cheaper than a regular Henry. Does extra storage space make up the extra in cost? With a six Litre capacity, Hetty is the same size as the Henry 160-11, but is smaller than the Henry 200-11 which comes in at 9 litres. So is Hetty smaller than Henry? It all depends on which model you’re comparing against.

The Henry vacuum cleaner range covers a number of price points. The more expensive models, like the George, do more things than the models that don’t cost as much. Adversely, the cheapest Henry Vacuum is likely to be the original version. You would think that you paid less for less dustbin capacity (like what you get with the James, where you sacrifice dustbin space for storage) but this isn’t the case. What is a Class Rating? We have a James hoover at home and a classic Henry which we use for our cleaning business; you do certainly notice the difference in weight between the two. The James vacuum cleaner is far easier to move around with especially on the stairs. Charles also has a very distinct feature within the Henry range as it can operate as either a dry vacuum or wet vacuum meaning it’s perfect for tougher assignments like DIY. A unique aero-brush is great if you have pets in the house. It provides an outstanding level of cleaning with carpets and is the perfect tool for cleaning up pet hairs, as well as those bits of pet food that don’t quite stay in the bowl and other edibles such as cat grass. A hard floor brush means it can continue cleaning on hard floor surfaces while a 10m power cable provides extensive reach. Henry does also come in a cordless cylinder variety which as you can imagine has a lot less motor (250w) and suction power (1200 H20) than its corded cousins. There’s always a frugal member of the family and James is it. Bright blue in colour he’s efficient to run and offers a different approach to storage and attachments. He offers a combination of a highly efficient Twin-flo bypass vacuum motor and a Powerflo pump system which delivers professional cleaning standards anywhere and at any time. It draws much of its design from the Numatic Cleantec range of professional vacuum cleaners designed to deliver unbeatable professional results every single time. Henry Cordless (HVB160) - A more compact version of the standard Henry model running off two 36-volt batteries, 6-litre capacity. [12] The Henry range have tremendous amounts of colour to them – but only one (very distinctive) style. If it has that big happy face, if the nose is the vacuum hose, and if it perpetually, moronically, and frustratingly never stops grinning? It’s a Henry. David DVR200 - David is essentially a cheaper Henry HVR200, his toolkit incorporated plastic wands oppose to stainless steel. David DVR200 ran from 1989–1992. Henry XL Plus also comes with a Flexi Crevice Tool which bends around and under hard to reach places (e.g. in between car seats) allowing you to clean more thoroughly.

The female equivalent to Henry or also known as the female Henry Hoover, Hetty Hoover is another popular vacuum cleaner from the Henry family. A common question we see is what’s the difference between Hetty and Henry? The answer is not much at all. Apart from her appearance, Hetty is exactly the same vacuum so it’s not a case of Henry vs Hetty. The only real difference is that Hetty is pink compared to the traditional red. She also comes complete with eyelashes to add to her more feminine appearance. Hetty shares the exact same specifications as the Henry Hoover 160-11. There are different aspects of Henry vacuums that come with a class rating. Energy Efficiency is one, suction another. There may be more. As a general rule, Class A is the best you can buy. A Traditional Henry has an Energy Class A rating, for example. Other Considerations to Make Before Buying a Henry Vacuum Cleaner As such you can see why the power rating of the motor is so critical; the higher the power rating of the motor, the greater the pressure difference between the vacuum cleaner and outside environment resulting in more suction power and air flow. This is why when you see talk of cleaning cability for vacuum cleaners, the discussion typically centres on the power rating of the motor. (ii) Suction Capability – Water Lift (Sealed Suction) You can’t deny there’s a bit of a royal theme running through some of the current names, with Henry, Charles, George and James all having ruled the land at one time or another. (Hetty is a shortened Henrietta, the female equivalent of Henry.)
