While the Stonekeepers mostly benefit from keeping one, it isn't rare that they may lose control and ultimately become unbalanced. The Hayes family attempts to get home, whilst learning more about Emily’s amulet and the extent of its powers. They cross paths with a cast of interesting characters, from a bipedal fox to a robotic chef. The art style skillfully combines fantasy and science fiction elements, with tiny details tying each panel into the next with the grace of a weaving spider. Emily shared a very contented and loving relationship with her father. Even up until the current books, after the car accident which led to his death, the anguish seems to still weigh rather heavily on Emily's mind, altering her outlook on life and causing her to become generally more solemn and reclusive. While unfortunate, David's death seems to have initiated an important and close bond between Emily, her mother and brother. Emily's determination to curing her mother after she is poisoned by an arachnopod was heavily driven by the fact that she is not prepared to lose yet another person she loves. This post takes a closer look at the Amulet series by Kazu Kibuishi. The ninth and final volume is expected to be published in 2021. This guide was written after the first six books had been published. As revealed in book eight ( Supernova), Emily will eventually have a son named Moze. Present Emily initially met Moze in the Void, but is currently unaware that he is her son. Future Emily was seen to love Moze dearly when she was a mother. There is no clue yet as who the father may be, or if Moze could be adopted as the two have quite different, distinguishable features between the two. Foreshadowing can be found in each of the volumes both in the text and the images. Search for and discuss examples of foreshadowing and have students create their own examples. As soon as the trio arrives in Charnon House, the figure takes his disguise and reveals himself as Miskit, a small pink rabbit robot. Miskit goes on to explain Emily's reason for having been brought to Alledia while passing by the other household robots. They introduce Emily to Silas, where she gets to speak to him for the first and last time before he passes away after explaining the decision that Emily must make; discard the stone that she had found or gained its great power that can help save her mother, but with a great price. After Silas passes the house and the robots shut down after urging her to make the right choice. While Navin remains apprehensive about the stone, Emily is ultimately convinced by the Voice to choose the stone, reactivating the house and the visibly relieved robots. Little is known of the very first stonekeepers, other than some members of the Guardian Council were elves and humans, but it's known that fragments of the Mother Stone were used to create the smaller stones that present stonekeepers utilize. The first settlers of Alledia that discovered the Mother Stone used pieces of the stone to create the amulets, and stonekeepers used these amulets for the benefit and protection of Alledia. Silas Charnon was known to have been involved in their distribution, training young individuals in stonekeeping.

In the Prologue of Book I, she wore a long-sleeved crimson shirt layered under a pair of navy-blue overalls and dark-pink shoes. In the present, she wears a long-sleeved mauve hoodie with a pair of white drawstrings layered over a white T-shirt, a pair of blue-gray pants, and dark-pink sneakers with pink and white accents. Served as a stonekeeper and from the end of Book 1 to the beginning of the next book, Emily wears a button-up cerulean shirt over an ice-blue one, navy-blue pants, and the same shoes as well as a long, hooded yellow-tan cape.

The children discover an alternate version of their grandfather Silas’s house, which is brimming with robotics ranging from the house itself, which flies, to a pink, bunny-shaped pilot. Emily and Navin learn that their mother has been captured by a race of ghastly monsters, and they must pilot the house to save and reunite her with the family. Silas's old helper robots determine that Karen was poisoned and needs an antidote, but the nearest city is 300 miles away. To take her to the city as soon as possible, the robots cause the entire house to be transformed into a giant robot. The giant robot, with everyone inside, walks through the water surrounding Silas's house, climbs out of the hole to the surface and starts walking across the landscape to the city, leading them to the antidote. In book 8, Vigo asks Riva Ash to help lead the elves as the responsibilities will be overwhelming for Trellis so they both have to help.Besides, 30 years earlier before the series, other stonekeepers fought to keep them at bay and were eventually able to successfully defeat them. One stonekeeper— a mild and quiet young male elf from a small village— was kept in detainment in hopes of him returning to normal. However, the boy told them that they should have rather killed him and that they would regret their decision. One night, the stone returned to help the boy escape and he used his mystic stone powers to destroy the cell. The guards that were assigned to watch over him were killed including Leon Redbeard's father. The young elf eventually transformed into the Elf King, the evil beloved ruler/lord of Gulfen.
