Description

IN THIS NEW STORY, BEST-SELLING AUTHOR AND ILLUSTRATOR DAVID LITCHFIELD TRAVELS INTO SPACE AND THROUGH TIME TO SHOW THAT WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR MIGHT BE CLOSER THAN WE THINK. You will need a grid each, and two dice, and colouring pencils. Youngest player starts. On your turn, throw the 2 dice. Then colour in a rectangle using the numbers on the dice for the lengths of its sides. Fill your numbers in in the column on the right as a multiplication. You can colour your rectangle wherever you like on the grid as long as there is space. If you don’t have space, you miss a turn. Mathletics measuring work is still on line and LOADS of you have logged in to have a go! Well done all of you! I will be adding more to have a go at but whilst the others log in you could try some of the mathletics games. Shape hunt: Take your child on a shape hunt around their house and garden. Look at the different shapes of the windows, doors, and houses. Can they name them? Are they 2D or 3D shapes? Ask them to create a picture of their house or street.

An out-of-this-world picture book from David Litchfield, the best-selling author of The Bear and the Piano and Grandad’s Secret Giant . Thanks so much for your lovely message and for everything that you do with Book Wagon. Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. Once your child has listened to ‘Royal Tea’ ask them to imagine that they were on a visit to the Palace. What would it be like? Hi guys, isn’t the weather oddat the moment? Cloudy and then warm!It was a bit brighter again today after a colder day yesterday but then it’s supposed to get warmer again!

To celebrate the fact that the Premier League might still award the trophy to Liverpool this season I thought we'd have a maths spelling game.

My 4th Author/Illustrator project is a Science Fiction Picture Book. Published September 2019 by Frances Lincoln/Quarto Books. One is an introduction to Nigeria geography lesson as we were studying Africa and its Nations before the holiday: In the following video, the author / illustrator answers questions from children in a primary school. What questions would you like to ask him? The illustrations are gorgeous, first and foremost. I loved the play with the flashlight, the softness of the nighttime forest, the colors of the spaceship. If for no other reason, read this for the pictures. Saw one review here talking about how the text actually detracted from the story, and I can see that. This could have been a great wordless picture book too - the illustrations carry that much of the story.
