Description

With its easy-to-follow instructions, this custom MOC allows enthusiasts of all skill levels to recreate Mola Ram with ease. No matter what opinions you have about the Lego company and it's values, the cancellation of this set will conveniently serve as a confirmation of those preconceived notions..." Better late than never, here's the press release about the three forthcoming sets, and an official statement on the cancellation of the fourth:

Throughout 2022, the LEGO Group worked closely with Lucasfilm to optimise our planned product line up for the upcoming LEGO Indiana Jones product launches in April 2023,” the LEGO Group shared on the LEGO Ambassador Network. “As an outcome of this, we consolidated the launch to focus on three products (77012, 77013, 77015) that feature some of the most iconic scenes from the Indiana Jones franchise. We hope our fans love the new range and can’t wait to get their hands on them.” In fact, nearly ALL Asian men shown in the film are villains. The only ones who are not are women, children, the elderly guru, or the Indian soldiers who are part of the colonial army.I'm cynical, but if you have moral principles, you shouldn't even present Star Wars...the most loved character has "only" massacred children....now I'm going to be lynched :) I owned almost all of the original Indiana Jones LEGO sets but sold them a long time ago because unlike the other themes I collect, the Indiana Jones sets don't make sense when built together. A temple in South America built next to a temple in Africa? I love the movies but don't have space to store a theme that isn't very satisfying to build all at once. Excited for the idol temple as I always wanted the old one. The plane set is cool as well. It was weird to rewatch the Last Crusade at the weekend and realise (due to that set) that Indy wears a tie for a significant chunk of that movie. Weird choice cos he's not a tie type of dude. The Temple of Doom cancellation article has had comments shut down, with the prospect of reopening them "in the morning" for around 24 hours at this point. Did you forget to reopen comments, or choose to leave them closed and forget to edit that part out?" As for the sets... the 2008 range was far more economical in depicting these scenes. But the Ark tomb set seems surprisingly affordable at 40 euro. I thought that would be another 60-70 euro price.

LEGO Indiana Jones The Temple of Doom (7199) is a challenging set to assemble, and it really needs a 13-adult person to assemble it. It takes four hours to assemble it and be sure everything works properly. Overall, it’s a fun toy if you are an Indy fan, but it’s very time-consuming and challenging for a younger child to do by themselves. The set is also quite expensive, but it’s worth the investment if you’re looking for a unique and fun LEGO set. Availability Forgot to add to my original comment. Disappointed with the Luftwaffe pilot and Belloq minifigs. The latter wore short sleeves and boots in the movie, yet both details are missing. Considering Temple of the Golden Idol is an 18+ set, surely giving Belloq more detail is not too much to ask." Perhaps Lego can pay a little more attention to prevent issues like this where lots of resources have been wasted in a product that will never reach the shelves and by doing so hopefully reduce the need to increase prices to, among other things, cover for those losses."

Treasure Level 4 - Lava Lake

Hopefully they make some after the fact. LEGO sets based on movies are usually better after the movie has come out anyway, as most sets that coincide with a movie release end up being based off limited concept art so designs or content is slightly inaccurate or just laughably wrong (looking at you 76008 Iron Man 3: Mandarin Showdown) Detailed Instructions that have been professionally designed in high resolution PDF file format which is the same as you would receive with any official LEGO model. As an outcome of this, we consolidated the launch to focus on three products (77012, 77013, 77015) that feature some of the most iconic scenes from the Indiana Jones franchise. The entrance to this level is the same as for the 1st Story Level: the garage in the right corner of the Shanghai neighborhood. Since this is a vehicle level, it doesn't matter which two characters you use. Let me help you all out with your reading comprehension: All that this statement says is that set 77014 has been omitted from the launch for April 2023, there's nothing here that indicates the set is cancelled. It's pretty simple and straight forward if you bother to read and understand what has been stated."

Lego’s original take on the classic Golden Idol scene from the first movie, Lego Temple Escape is a great play set, though quite hard to get a hold of at a decent price these days. From a boulder that’s actually a ball and can be taken out to chase Indie, to swishing blades, and a sea plane to escape on, this is a really fun Lego Indiana Jones kit, and a must-have if you can find a cheap enough copy. In fairness if they screened every product in the earlier stages then I suspect that a lot more sets would be filtered out as consequence of corporate lawayers and an over-abundance of caution. They probably do this now and sometimes they still slip through. I'm really curious what Lego will do if China invade Taiwan... This would be a real test for them. "However, in reference to my post regarding the 'heartwarming' reunion of Harrison Ford and Ke Huy Quan, it surely stands to reason that no-one would care/find it 'heartwarming', unless people actualy cared about this film. The dinner scene, where non-Thuggee Indians are shown enjoying disgusting "food" consisting of bugs, live eels, and, of course, chilled monkey brains. Easily the segment of the film that has aged the worse, IMO. There's something wrong there. I wouldn't be surprised if that 40 is a typo and that set will end up costing a lot more.

That’s nice. The older Indi sets came out in the depths of my dark ages, so it’s the one theme I mostly missed out on. FREE PLAY: If you didn't bring a shovel from the slave cage area, don't worry. You can use a character with the excavation ability to dig up the skulls and get artifact piece #9 when you replay the level later. Images of the sets subsequently leaked and the new range has now been officially announced, with one significant omission, as 77014 The Temple of Doom has seemingly been cancelled. While LEGO product cancellations are relatively common, this example is unusual because this set was exhibited at Nuremberg Toy Fair and images have leaked online. Moreover, 77013 Escape from the Lost Tomb contains the Ark of the Covenant, which is considered to be a real-world Christian artefact." Use of pidgin English by Short Round and pretty much every non-white character shown in the film. One of the few erudite Indians shown in the film is Chatter Lal, who is a bad guy. It’s a bit of an ambiguous statement, and all it says that it’s NOT part of the April 2023 release, so who knows if its truly cancelled, or its been delayed. Love that they’re going for updates and a refresh instead of a straight up remake. Some of the newer play features are super fun. Why put so much effort into complaining about a set that hasn’t existed yet? There are 90,000 different set numbers out there, they can afford to assign a few that don’t make it to production.
