Items that are not available in store will take 3-5 working days (excluding weekends and bank holidays) to be delivered to your nominated store. There are ways that you can vary the game or make it more complex. For example you could use coloured envelopes for each child. They then get to put their cards in envelopes before posting. This means you can make a fun game out of counting how many of each colour are inside the box at the end (Maths skills too).

Post Box Playset Early Learning Centre Pop It In The Post Box Playset

In the simple version, players take it in turns to match and post letters into the correctly coloured post box. Kids Escape Room in an Envelope (age 8-12) With Personalised Message | Puzzle Gift for Kids With Secret Message | The Enigmagram Our games, jigsaws and colouring books are designed with the ethos of ‘learning made fun’. The below highlights exactly which educational skills are being developed with each product. Furniture, large play equipment, heavy items etc or items marked with **may incur an additional delivery charge to Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Offshore Islands and some parts of Scotland.

The other great thing about this game is that it can be adapted to suit any age or ability, playing together, and you can use it to teach other skills and knowledge just as easily. With younger children you can print pictures and ask them to find things, rather than asking them to read or identify themselves. This would also work as a Maths Skills Game, or a Geography Skills Game – or pretty much whatever you can think of! Building vocabulary. For younger children, it’s great for learning colours and animals. Most of the animals are common (e.g. pig, rabbit, dog, rhino) and great for teaching colours. Prepositions. This is great for teaching in for those younger children. It can also be used to teach in front and behind (the cards fall behind the mailbox). I will ask where a certain card and have the children answer. A version of this is to hide the letters in various places in your therapy room. Either tell the children where they could find a letter or have the children tell you where they found the letter. I have my lovely mother-in-law to thank for inspiring me to create and play this game; she mentioned that she helped her twin sons to read (one of whom is my husband!) by getting them to post the words they could read in a post box. They loved the act of posting the words (all children seem to love to post things?!) and they competed with each other to get the most, making the game really effective in developing their reading skills. Try to get your child to give as much detail as possible about the objects they are posting. For example, what is its name? Is it big or small? If they don't know these words yet, don't worry! Simply start introducing them, for example 'Look at this small ball.' Great for developing fine motor skills, this game can also be used by younger children for role play as well as a durable educational game when they become a little older. Keep collections to yourself or inspire other shoppers! Keep in mind that anyone can view public collections - they may also appear in recommendations and other places. You could also use envelopes to make the game for challenging for more experienced readers. For example you could label the envelopes: Once you are ready to play, set the box in an area with a fair amount of floor space. Place the cards with words and letters and around it, face up, so that the chidren playing can read or identify them. Each child takes a turn to find a card that they know. If they identify or read it correctly, they get to post it – simple as that! Simply print out or write the words on pieces of paper and card that are small enough to be posted. Next, laminate the cards and cut them out to create a set of cards and words to post. The obvious sound to target is “L” by saying letter. I frequently incorporate the possessive noun activities into therapy which is great if you are working with mixed group. I will also take smaller artic cards I have and use removable glue dots to put them on the letter. Then have the child choose a card and then say the word. As well sometimes I will just have the children put artic cards in the mailboxes.

Expanding Sentences. Because the letters are four different colours (red, green, blue, yellow) you can start to use those colours to increase the length of sentences (E.g. “I have a red letter.”) Let your child take the lead to choose the objects they'd like to post, this will build their confidence . By adding in a game of your turn, my turn your child will learn from you and you can encourage them to tell you what to do! Set contains: 1x post box, 6x envelopes, 6x letters, 6x stamps, 2x dice (animal and number) and 1x instruction leafletPosting boxes are a great fun way to get your toddler used to the names of lots of different items. Leaders who have the items, are running around and have to try and hide from the scouts. The group with the most cards posted winds. Orchard Toys Post Box Game | Toddler Games | BoardHoarders

A very first colour matching game. Match letters to the coloured post boxes in this single player activity or multi-player game. Both my children loved this game. They are still asking to play it regularly despite the weather improving. The game is appealing for a wide age range – I would say children aged 2-10. With younger children, you could start with using pictures to show the phonics sounds.Great online store for board games. They always arrive perfectly and undamaged which is important to me. Draw your slit in pencil first and then cut out using a craft knife or by piercing and using scissors. Take care to cut through the paper and card layers. Orchard Toys create a wonderful range of educational games and jigsaws and their motto "learning made fun" is at the heart of what they do. Their range is bright and fun and loved by children, parents and teachers alike. There are lots of great activities that can encourage your little one to become familiar with other everyday activities, such as hanging up the laundry together or playing the name game when out and about.
